Maybe they haven't found out why, although I can't imagine suicide as an alternative to anything.........

Ahhh ...
"Investigators believe Whitney set the fire after dousing himself with gasoline based on statements he made to witnesses."
I highly doubt he'll be able to explain "WHY" he did it !

Either this was a suicide, or a stunt gone horribly wrong.

I highly doubt this is a complete accident, cause I dont think anyone would be stupid enough to keep a bunch of gas around fire. You'd think that as a college student, they'd have enough common sense to understand that.

Thats really ashame a young man who had his whole life ahead of him would do something like that. Thats a rough road to take may he rest in peace.

It's interesting that many people are making such judgmental statements about this young man. Perhaps it would be smart to keep comments to yourselves if you do not personally know this man.
Everyone has more going on in their lives and in their minds than what is visible to the eye.
Common sense does not have much relevance for someone who has deeper issues to deal with.

i agree with dontjudgepray. It doesn't sound like any of you know him or what he was like as a person so you have no right to jump to the conclusion that he was suicidal or not smart. Not everything that you read is true.
