It can only happen because too many people are willing to give up whatever rights they aren't currently using for a false sense of security.

Take Democrats. They were the majority in Washington for most of the 20th century. For at least 50 years they have been telling us how bad things are...but they never make it any better. And the fools keep voting for them.

Now that the Republicans are trying to be Democratts, too...

...well, vote for Ron Paul if you want America back.

Drug seizures are so morally questionable. This one is ridiculous. We have set it up so the DEA is encouraged to steal with impunity. Anything wrongly seized never is returned.

Do your homework.

Learn the lesser known history of American Government from Woodrow Wilson to the present, and you'll find Ron Paul is the last hope for America as our founding fathers intended it to be.

If you think that is idiotic, you are a part of the problem.

I think the police have a valid argument, though I may not like it.

The purchase of the lottery tickets could be construed as money laundering. I wonder if they also confiscated the other merchandise. I also wonder if he had any other money on his person.

Oh come on, CalmBob! Money Laundering? That has to be the worst method to money launder ever conceived. Talk about a lousy ROI (Reurn-On-Investment).(Well almost, you could always give your money to a tele-evangelist to get your name on the VIP list in heaven.)

I didn't say it was an efficient method... but in his case...

A lot of money is probably laundered through Vegas every year in hopes of the Big Win.

I wonder how many other lottery tickets this guy bought, the article doesn't say. Under the government's own logic, all the losing tickets, are tainted drug proceeds that the state has now knowingly received. Should that money be seized from the state, and if so, who should get it?

Quotes? Sources? Links? Anything to support this???

No, you are just parroting what someone told you.

Or perhaps you are one who thinks illegal immigration is okay and America is obligated to do more for non-citizens than it does for it's own children...?
