Dr Meyer has had a very hard lifes journey and if we cant step back and just be greatful that we havent what will anyone gain. Dr Meyer is a very hard working over acheiver, and has given much more than he recives. Dr Meyer is an exceptional Dentist, I should know Ive been in this field for Twenty Four years. I have worked with many Doctors and I truly couldnt say I would have many more than a few in my own mouth, but with out a doubt he could!!!!!!!!

I came to dr Meyer while I was on vacation. I did not have a lot of money and as I recall when I called it was his day off. He drove in to see me, fixed my tooth and charged me half of what my dentist normally would have charged. I had called in the area and received refusals from a dentist on high street I am grateful there are still caring providers.

Dr. Meyer is an incredible dentist. I have been dealing with TMJ for many years. My dentist tried to make me comfortable each time I had a flare up by giving me a muscle relaxer and making me a mouth guard. In August of 2009 I had a migraine and was sick to my stomach and my mouth was locked shut so I ended up going to the emergency room. The emergency department again gave me muscle relaxers for the pain and inflammation. Eventually my jaw felt better. Then on March 23, 2010 my jaw ended up locking shut again. This time it would not go back into place and I felt discouraged. My dentist said there was nothing else he could do for me and I needed to go see a specialist for TMJ in Augusta which was a 2 and a 1/2 hour ride for me, and they did not take insurance so I had to pay $250.00 up front. When I went in he did x rays and said I needed to come back and have another mouth guard made. I called for an appointment but the time was not convenient with my working schedule. I decided to look in the phone book and found Dr. Meyer's name. I called and was able to get an appointment the next morning at 7:45a.m. I was thinking to myself that there is probably nothing that can be done and every time I tried to eat I would have this pain because I could not open my mouth very wide. I met with Dr. Meyer the next morning and told him how long I have been suffering with the popping jaw the clicking in my jaw. He examined me and said that he could fix my jaw. It was a relief to hear that. The first thing he did was to take the mouth guard that I had and fixed it so it would work properly instead of making a new one. Then he prescribed anti inflammatories to relieve the inflammation. He then did something I have never seen a dentist do, he gave me his cell phone and home phone number and said if I have any problems or discomfort to call him. I have been seeing him once a week so he can track the progress I am getting more motion in my jaw without pain all the time. There are other steps in my recovery that he is going to take but wanted to get the inflammation down first. In my opinion Dr. Meyer is a very caring dentist who is an active listener to his patients concerns. He goes above the call of duty. I would recommend him in a minute he is superb. I am very thankful that he is now my dentist.

I went to see Dr Meyers on a Thursday. Somehow his staff fit me in to his schedule, and first thing in the morning, since I had just called the afternoon before. The left side of my face was swollen and the pain was being controlled by an old script I had. His assistant almost painlessly x-rayed that side and then he assured me that he was not going to be prodding and poking me in my condition but gently looked inside my mouth.
He prescribed an Antibiotic to get rid of the infection and an appropriate pain med and had me make an appt to see him in a week. I can't remember paying him anything for the first visit at the time and I was out the door to the pharmacy, right up the street, that he called before I left.
When I arrived at the pharmacy they were jammed. The pharmacist, this was at Walmart, saw my distress and asked to see my prescription. He said he was expecting me and that although the wait should be about 45 to an hour, he was going to fill this immediately and then take his lunch.
I called the office the next day and asked if there should be some change in the swelling. His staff told me that you really shouldn't see much till about 48 hours but to call if I have pain that the meds are not handling or if I don't see a change by the next day.
I called the next day (Sat their day off) and the phone was immediately answered by one of his staff. I told her that the swelling still wasn't down. She told me she would call in another prescription as soon as she talked with the Doctor and would call me back, all antibiotics don't work on everybody. And called me right back to go to the pharmacy in town.
At my appt the next week, he looked at the tooth in question and told me what had to be done. I said that I couldn't have an extraction at that time of the year because I had upcoming engagements for the next few months and couldn't risk any complication from the surgery making me miss them. He said that he understood completely, he could keep me going until I could schedule the procedure. Then he told me about care for the tooth in the mean time and to call just as soon as I felt anything in the tooth and he could prescribe something to fight the infection, if it happened, again.
THEN his staff charged me less than it costs for 2 hours in the Chevy Garage! AND they presented me with a written estimate for the extraction which was less than the cost I've paid for a bonding.
I was recommended to him by a wonderful dentist in Bangor who only does Root Canals. Dr Meyers is the real thing. And I thank him.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Meyer now for several years. He is an amazing dentist that is always when we need him. We never have to wait weeks upon weeks to get in if we have an emergency which is veryhelpful. I would never trust my family's teeth with anyone else!
