Action Delayed On Ellington Volunteer Corps Request To Buy New Ambulance

The board of selectmen this week delayed action on a request from the Ellington Volunteer Ambulance Corps to buy a new ambulance.

No Specifications = No Support. We have a process in town to purchase equipment like this and even though it is being funded through the Ambulance charging fund it should still follow the process. I'm not denying the need but if they knew it was to be replaced this year then they could have requested it earlier in the year instead of making it look like an emergency.
