My question is how will APAB pay property taxes on all the foreclosed property they now own?

I think I have helped cover it, I received three bills this year for one little piece of property.
There are probably exceptions, after all they are a local bank with lots of friends.

They have probably requested and received Deferral Until Sold from the taxing authorities. A fairly standard practice of banks on foreclosed property.
Ultimately someone, some day, is going to pay the property, problem is no ones knows when "some day" will come.

I cannot beleive my property tax went up 100%

you guys should look on gilmer county tax commissioners web site and see who owes what, i know from looking the properties of one are ALL paid up! it's public info just go to the web site and go to "pay taxes on line" enter the last name and whallla, instant info, i have to keep up with taxes that someone else is supposed to be paying, for life estate. also if the county would just collect what is owed to them our taxes wouldn't have went up!!!! i know for one that taxes on a certain individual is back from 06,07,08,09 and they still live in their home, just go and fill out a payment agreement, if you decide you don't or can't pay just do another one when ever you want there doesn't seem to be any rules!!! don't believe me check it out yourself. good luck

O K I did visit the web site and it is not correct. I know for a fact. Taxes paid and this web site is NOT CORRECT. I guess the county needs to spend money on computers that are up to date, or hire people that can use them.

How many county road workers does it take to grade a gravel road.

1 driver.
1 supervisor.
1 guy in a pickup, following and doing nothing.

When they are through, the gravel road is in the same lousy condition .

By the way, how much do we pay those guys at the county dumpster convenience centers? That's a sweet job. Sit on you butt and push a button to crush the garbage. Let's place a trustee from the local jail to perform the same function?
