Would any of you want a doctor taking care of you at the hospital that has been on duty for 36 hrs or longer? What about him getting bonuses for admissions? Think about this when you visit the local hospital. What a shame.

Do you have written proof of this?

No written proof but the hrs could be proven through an investigation. Are there any fatigue rules for doctors? The bonuses would be a little harder.

If you are making the statement, the investigation must already have been done. Time to show the proof. Just that you are making the statement there must be some evidence of proof to be valid, where is it?

Kodiak was bored last night and decided to start some b.s. thread in Topix for some attention. For sh*ts and giggles, some might say.

When does anyone in Ellijay EVER need proof to start a rumor/drama?

Get a hobby, Kodiak...

Or don't post crap without PROOF, loser.

No. I would not want a doc, who hadn't had rest in 36 hrs, making important decisions about me.

what about interns when they start at a hospital? they work really long hours but they do get to sleep some. most hospitals have places that a doctor can go and get rest

Don't get so wound up unless you are one of these doctors. or maybe your bored until the first of the month before your entitlement check comes and you can crawl bacb into your box of wine and leave the grown ups alone for another couple of weeks. lol

I agree they are humans but shouldn't there be some type of fatigue factor involved with the exception of some sort of major catastrophy.

Get used to it in ObamaCare. The doctors will be overworked, feel underpaid, and less caring. Then you will get a generation of lesser quality docs.

and that is a shame. we need our doctors and we need them to care. if i could give you more money i would in a heartbeat, but sometimes, with all the other bills that are being presented to me, i cant but i sure wish i could. the only thing i know to do is pray and ask God that you do the best that you can

What we need to do is vote the skank we have as president out, repeal boboma care and work on something else to help, The elderly won't have a chance if the moron's healthcare stays. Neither will we.as doc says they will be worked to death,in a hurry and no offense doc but those of us that pay for insurance or not will loose the quality of care we are used to.. Vote his ass out P/S cat woman--I still like cats haha

You are correct in the obummer care plan and i diagree with it and will make my vote heard in november. Problem is getting everyone else to understand that. The topic is about fatigued doctors though. By my choice I don't want a doctor working on me that may be to tired. It doesn't change whether they are good doctors when well rested compared to 36-40 hrs in. In spite of some doctors beliefs they are not god. Also topic was to question integrity of a doctor admitting everyone he see's to keep hospital census up while nursing staff is being overwhelmed and understaffed. Sometimes at a rate of 9 or 10 patients to 1 nurse. The nurse's and the patients are the one's losing in this case while at the same time the nurse's raise is based on customer satisfaction. Again thanks to obummer care and doctors who could care less about the nurse's left at the hospital to clean up their messes. Atleast the doctor get's to make more money by seeing more people unlike the nurse's.

Are you a real doctor or do you play one on topix?

(Personal story)
My friend works for a geriatric doctor. After Obamacare passed, he started the long process of weaning himself off of Medicare.
It [medicare] was never worth it, the gubment pays slow and disputes everything.

As of Monday, he has sold his private business and is joining some type of medical club. Cash is King and most of his patients will not have the money to keep him.
She [my friend] says her boss is not greedy. He is a Korean immigrant, worked his behind off in this country and now this country is screwing him.
And his elderly patients :(

Since boB is the brightest bulb in the bunch, let's pitch in and send traffic director bob to washington to get it all straightened out.
