And why were you riding instead of walking and meeting and talking with the public? You and Shane Bowman both rode and sat in chairs, was that because both of you are out of shape?

Stacey Nicholson, Leon Davenport and Tim Theobald all walked the whole route shaking hands with the people.

Can anyone say something positive? It would be nice to hear ideas rather than mudslinging.

I read the post that are put here and what does it matter who walked and who didnt . And what does it matter if one has tattoos or does not , do these things really determine what kind of men they are, I think not. All the trouble makers really just need to stop and think one thing before you post,WWJD.

God bless

Isnt the perpose of having floats in a parade is to ride on them .Im going to stop reading topix ,cause it is obvious your I.Q has to be less than 10 to participate in these forums. And good comment "God fearing" , you're the only one here that makes sense.

I wish thy would not even allow any candidates to even participate in the parade! It was to be a celebration of our nation NOT a campaign rally and for that sole reason I chose not to even attend this year because I knew it would be one float then 3 candidates for some office then another float.

If candidates wanted the exposure they should sony have mingled in the sidewalks to met the constituents.

I also think each candidate should pay a $5.00 per sign fee, it would either accomplish the idea of paying for the landfill space they will take up in December or make our community look better without all the signs every foot and a half. This whole county looks like a trash dump !

The parade "organizers" wanted the candidates in their parade. They were required to build a float and pay $25.00 to have it in the parade. That's supposedly the only way they got to do the parade. Just another way to make $$$. I did notice not every candidate there had a float. How many sets of rules did the organizers have?

Which candidates didn't have a "float"? They could also just walk, they just couldn't ride in a car like in days of yore. But float could be something pulled behind a p/u truck, or a flatbed truck or a boat or anything of that nature. I didn't see any candidates just riding in a car, did you?

But the organizers thought it would extend the parade, and it did. Without the candidates throwing candy and frizbees and bottles of water, it would have been pretty bleak this year wouldn't it have?

Sheriff candidate Tim Theobald (Kentucky boy) did not have a float, only his black BMW. Not sure how he got away with that.

I would have to disagree with that statement. I seen him pack his thing up and leave. The only thing he help clean up was his own float.

Get your facts straight before running off at the mouth. Any political candidate who was going to be in the parade and display any kind of political signs had to have a float and pay $25. No political campaigning or signs, no $25.

Theobald had a float ready in the form of a covered wagon. But for the first time in 15 years or so, they wanted to see the proper paperwork on the horses being used to pull it. Of course, nothing like waiting until they show up to ask for these papers, so of course they couldn't get them in time to be allowed in the parade. That's why he had his car there and not a float.

By the way: You're a Moron.
