Less war?

We now have US Troops in 75 counties. 75. WTF.

*569 deaths occurred in the Afghan war during the two terms of President George W. Bush.

*As of Sept.11, 2012, the number of deaths was 1,980 and counting. OVER TWICE have died under Obama.

*Since the start of that war, 17,519 U.S. service members have been wounded in hostile action.
(This does not count those murdered at Ft. Bragg....that was a 'workplace shooting.')**wink**

*Don't have exact numbers, but the numbers are much higher since Obama took office. I'll find them if anyone gives a damn.

Obama is a warmonger. Romney has no record of that, yet.

This is for everyone; Liberals, Conservatives, Republicans, Libertarians, Commies...
Just check out this link, it shows a second by second clock of our tax dollars being spent on Wars.

The top number begins at 1.3 trillion. Good God.

I just think many of them, need more.

Howard Stern did a -man on the street- style interview.

Good grief. People voting for Barry in this, didn't know Bin Laden was dead.
Among other things. Like Paul Ryan is black.*They have no clue.

Should they even go to the polls?

* And I know some on the right, who have no clue either. Fair is fair. But what average street Democrats do not know, is enough to make you pull your hair out and hang yourself with it.

It's pretty hilarious, and pathetic;

I know that Obama is completely incompetent on the economy and foreign policy. We all suffer for that. His socialist agenda encourages dependency and discourages initiative, and we all pay for that, too. But what I really can't get my arms around is this whole "Emperor" thing he has going. If congress doesn't give him what he wants, no problem. He just ignores them, and they give hardly a whimper. He actually threatens the Supreme Court and their response is to quietly fold and give him Obamacare. He has made it clear - not even trying to hide it - that if he is re-elected he will continue to rule in this manner.

When I was growing up, the big difference between America and the communist nations was that we could do whatever we pleased as long as we obeyed very reasonable laws. In the communist countries, they needed to apply for and receive permission for pretty much whatever they wanted to do. How terrible that was. It could never happen here. But here we are. Now we have to request permission for almost everything we want to do from some initial (EPA, DOJ, ATF, etc) organization. The EPA has started classifying dry ditches as "navigable" because they contain water runoff when it rains. This then gives them control over the adjoining land - land that someone paid for and now can't utilize. How ridiculous that a dry ditch is "navigable", but we just let it go.

Our economy is gone, our property is worthless, our military is in disrepair (and about to be completely gutted), and our personal freedoms are a distant memory. And this is a close election? That Obama may actually win? I think it's time for the South and the Heartland to consider secession again.

GREAT post, Charlie.

A little thing I can add to your South and Heartland sentence.

I love your Rebel Flag. Or Confederate Flag, whatever one calls it.
I especially love the ones that say across the bottom;

The South Will Rise Again

I'm counting on that. It's why I'm here.

Do we have a third choice? It would be nice to take the best part of both candidates, and make a candidate for all the people.

Ms. EgoBrain, please dont confuse the liberals with actual facts. They can't handle the truth. The correct approach is : The economy is booming, everyone has a job, all are getting rich and it's all thanks to our dear leader, Barack Obama!Only then will they believe you....sad but true....

I am trying to be open minded until I walk into the voting booth. I don't believe any of the emails I receive until I check them out; ditto for news reports. Sadly I don't believe some of the things that are being said from the pulpits. Just this week I heard of a preacher in south Georgia that told his congregation that if Obama was re-elected he would put a micro-chip in everyone's hand. Prior to the last election this same preacher told his congregation that if Obama was elected there would be a 1% tax put on every bank transaction, deposits and withdrawals. It didn't happen and it couldn't happen. A president can't do these things....he is not a king or a dictator. He has to have the support of Congress to do most things. It makes me sick to hear people say Obama will take away our guns. I ask "HOW"? Without the support of Congress how can he do this? Is he going to send the military to my house and demand that I turn over my shotguns? I don't know many soldiers that would obey that command. Another lie that is going around is that of the real estate tax that taxes a property if you sell it. This lie says you pay a sales tax on the total selling price of the property. Actually you only pay a capitl gains tax on the profit after taking the one time deduction of $250,000. This is an old law that has been in effect for years. Lies will not win my vote. I don't like seeing my country go down the tube and I will vote for anyone who I think has a plan and the ability to work the plan; unfortunately I don't see that in either candidate at this time.

Who bases their voting privilege on last minute emails?
A- Anyone worth his salt, knows hour by hour what is going on with this country.
The others not worth their salt, think if Romney is elected, the ONLY thing women care about -birth control- will be taken from them.

B- Congress becomes obsolete when the President issues one Executive order after another.
Here's some pretty EO's;

EO 10990 allows the Government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports.
EO 10997 allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels, and minerals.
EO 11000 allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision
EO 11002 designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons.
EO 11003 allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.
EO 11004 allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate and establish new locations for populations.
EO 11005 allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways, and public storage facilities.

Bush signed 291 in his 8 yrs in office.
Enough!!!! Can we agree enough of these?

Guess what? Romney hasn't signed 1. Not 1 Executive Order.

You are correct about the capital gains tax on profit after $250,000. However, I don't understand how you cannot see that Obama is already acting as a dictator and "ruling" without congress. You asked how a president could do this. He does it by using the initial organizations (EPA, DOJ, BATF, etc). For example, do you remember when Obama ordered BATF to start collecting name/address of all who purchased long guns in the border states? How is that different from gun registration? True, he backed off when there was enough of an uproar - but that was because he still had another election he wanted to win. Make no mistake, that is the ONLY reason he cares about any reaction to what he does. Once he is re-elected, he will be free to do anything he wants without caring about the political ramifications.

You are also correct that you won't see soldiers coming to get your guns. What you will see is BATF agents, and if you think they will refuse, think back to David Koresh. Yes, I know that wasn't Obama, but it does make the point that these agents will do what they are told. Want further proof of that? Have you ever actually examined what went on at Ruby Ridge? These were anti government individuals, who were essentially set up by our government because Randy Weaver would not agree to be a government informer. Subsequently, Weaver's wife and son were killed by Federal Agents who knew that they were unarmed and not a threat. Read up on it. It'll make you sick. But it will also make clear that our Federal Agents will do ANYTHING they are told to do - and that would include coming for our guns.

I fear our government. More specifically, I distrust our government. You should too. Maybe Romney is not the answer, but he is the only alternative right now to Barack Obama, and we KNOW Obama is not the answer.
