Did you tell them that or is your head buried, as well? According to the Grand Jury, Chastain took the same oath and it was null and void. Did any of you mention that to the county employees?

PUT YOUR ANGER WHERE IT COUNTS. IN THE BOC MEETING, NOT HERE.
JC is making good money to fumble around the courthouse, he was not hired by the voters to play around on "his terms".
Grow a pair and do something.
I don't think I have ever seen you at a BOC meeting, and you certainly aren't one of the ones that has stood up and said something. And saying something on Topix doesn't count unless you use your real name. I have stood up and said something. I think maybe you are the one that should grow a pair.

My first question to you would be this, how would you know me at the BOC meeting?

Would I introduce myself to the BOC members as "myvotecountsjack"?

Saying something on topix doesn't count unless you use your real name ... is this your rule ? Does that imply your first name is "Local" and your last name is "Patron" ?

To verify, I have been at BOC meetings, I have spoken at BOC meeting, I have spoken to the BOC when Joene and Randy Bell have said their piece, as well.

Look in your shorts Mr Local Patron, I think you see a sign saying " room for rent" where your pair should be swingin'.

Jack.

Getting off topic here.

Point is this, in the BOC, they have taken the same oath as Chastain did. Remember Mark Chastain, Ken Bailey, Jerry Farist, Max Holstein? That current oath was ruled "invalid" by the Grand Jury. JC and the boys are "offended" to take the correct oath. Don't care about them being offended, I, for one, don't want the safe robbed again, as it has been in the past, due to an invalid oath, which protects the thieves.

Code of ethics has not been adopted, to my knowledge, by the tax assessors office. It is my understanding the code of ethics is being pushed by tax assessor members because of what the tax assessor chairperson did to lower his own taxes. It is also my understanding the code of ethics is being stonewalled by the same tax chairperson.

Keep in mind, the tax assessor chairperson was an appointed position by the BOC.

BOC won't take the correct oath, now the tax assessor chair is stopping a code of ethics from being adopted. See a pattern here?

Does any of this seem important to the citizens/voters of Gilmer County?

It should be important, too many "big fish" in a small pond at the courthouse, all of which have combinations to the safe.

And now the safekeeper and possesser of all the county financial facts has very suddenly given a mere two weeks notice? Two weeks for a person in a position like this that supposedly cares about the county? How are we supposed to find a qualified person to handle all of the financial business of the county in two weeks? More than likely any candidate we find would need to give two weeks notice where they currently work, so who would be writing checks and doing the books in the interim???

The BOC should have thought about that before they ran her off. She needed help. She will be sorely missed. You cannot keep good help when you cut all of their staff and you work them to death. It is not her problem that you cannot find a suitable replacement in two weeks. That mentality is the problem with this county.

Bingo. He's stalling it until Randy is forced to resign the Tax Assessor's Board to accept his newly elected position as Post Commissioner. Then he hopes that it will fall by the wayside.
