I am interested in purchasing in the CRR. However, I find it to be overwhelmingly large. Is there a more desireable area in the CRR to live or an area to avoid? Also, is their a local resource where Owners list their properies for sale? Or, should I just go through a realtor?

Thank you for any guidance.

It just depends on what you are looking for in CRR. Are you looking for buildable land, a house already built, a RV campground? You can visit www.timescourier.com which is the local paper in Ellijay and check out their ads. I have an RV in the campground area and it is very quiet where I am at. I also have a buildable lot in Ellijay itself (altho that is on the market for sale at this time). Hope that helps.

Janeen,

Thanks for your input. Does your lot have a view or is it near water?

It has neither a view or sitting near water. But it is the last "unrestricted" lot in the subdivision so a mobile home, or a small home can be built on it. I was going to put a small mobile home on it but found the RV lot in CRR that suited my needs better.

Hi Karen,
I have a new cabin (2005) for sale. It is located on Nexus Court off Eagle Mt. road, which is very close to the gate. Stainless steel appliaces, high end fixtures and hardware. Ceiling fans with remote control, nice stacked stone gas log fireplace (also with remote control), hardwood floors through out, screened in porch off master bedroom with french doors, wrap around deck. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths. Second bedrm has bay window and a cozy alcove, custom woodblinds on all the windows and a huge loft which has a private area for a bed or office space. It is very close to the rec center and being this close to the gate sure makes going in and out of the resort convenient. If you would email me I could send you pictures . Email: [email protected].

Janeen,

I am interested in your lot that is for sale in Ellijay (Not in CRR) if you still have it. Do you have a contact number / email. I would like to find out more details about the lot.

I live in Alpharetta. My in-laws are planning on relocating to the mountains from Sarasota. They wer visiting earlier this summer and fell in love with CRR. Does anyone have a cabin for sale there? They need 2 bedrooms on the main floor.

I purchased a home in CRR in January 2006. Prior to my purchase my husband and I rented a home in CRR for a week while we looked. May I suggest that your in-laws do the same, that way they have plenty of time to explore prior to purchase. They're are plenty of homes on the market I suggest they use a realestate agent. Also there is a local paper timescourier.com that has classifieed listings. Make sure they research the property prior to making offer, some homes are over priced some are reasonable. Not all locals are willing to accept that the market is down as is everywhere, they are still trying to make a killing

Please send your pics and the location if not sold yet. We own a cabin on mountain creek now but considering selling and finding something we can better afford.

GuardDog - you can email me at [email protected] and I can send you pictures of the lot. It is unrestricted, so therefore you can build a house, set up a mobile home, put a Park Model RV on it. Email me anytime.

We own two lots in CCR both are close to gate an about 1/4 mile from the river, both are very nice buildable lots, and have soil test. Prices at 16,500.00 and 12,500.00 they are priced to sell. If you would like more info please call my realtor at Oprandi Realty in ellijay, his name is Jack Nunn. The lot#s are 682 and 722. CCR is still the best value for the money in ellijay in my opinion.

Probably because of the fees! They have to pay 2 x because of owning 2 lots and you are talking $555 a lot this year! Up 10% from last year and a total of 51% since 2003!!
Listen up folks - it ain't going to get any better until the owner's finally get fed up and say 'ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!"

I have a lot listed in CCR, across the road from Coosawattee River & just a short walk from the River Park. Not far from the Ellington Rd. entrance. Go to www.overlandtrails.com to see listing & give me a call.
