First off, don't mention peoples kids on a public forum, you coward. Second, if you cared more about your kid and the program, you would be more involved with both. Third, you can only hope and pray that your child would have a coach like Coach Nunn in their life if they played sports ! Fourth, middle school basketball is not an "everybody gets a trophy" situation. You are right about coaches having favorites. Their favorites are good attitudes and great effort. And last, I refer back to number one, kids are off limits in a public forum.

P.S.
Good Grief, you are barking up the wrong tree as far as sports and academics ! I invite you to the next middle school academic awards banquet. Atheletes, male and female, are ALWAYS the top students. Coincidence...I think not. The liberal attitde of throwing more money at education will improve results has been proven wrong time after time. Parental involvement improves eduction. Don't take my word for it, ask a teacher.

All these parents that run to Dorsey crying about their kids and sports are clueless. Coach Nunn is the toughest and fairest coach my daughter has ever had. We also fully support Coach Horton AND Rhonda Chatham.

Don't forget that herbs new coaches kid was only at try outs one day and made the team the kids was told that if they was not there for every practice that they would not make the team so sounds like to me coach nunn is doing what she is told and no Rhonda's kids are not top six on the team go watch them play and you will see!!!!
Player you don't have clue about basketball if you are saying Rhonda's kid are not top six on both teams.I guess you have not been to any games.I can say that I have probably seen more games in my lifetime that you will ever see and I know talent.I don't believe in playing favorites and every kid earns their spot. This grinding the ax about Rhonda is almost laughable ,if she had all this power all the fools have stated she would be replacing Dorsey. Its good to defend a child and be upset when things don't go their way,but sometimes you have to look in the mirror instead putting blame on others.

A friend of mine that just had a daughter to graduate tells me that the overall middle school/GHS varsity girls basketball program has become almost like a cult in the way things works, who gets to play and so on..

Some of you that post on here should be drug tested. Program ran like a cult? My daughter played for Coach Nunn, Coach Chatham and Coach Horton and the only theme of any of the teams has been one of family and togetherness, not a cult. That's hilarious. What will some of you do when Dorsey isn't here to run to? What will your children do when they face real adversity in the real world? Most of you are setting up your children for failure by teaching them if things don't go their way, then they have been wronged. Get a freaking life people.

One of the persistent tactics used against opponents in these "school" threads, are the accusations of illegal drug use.

Since this is such an odd and uncivilized accusation to make in discussing a difference of opinion, I'm wondering how pervasive drugs are in our government schools, and in particular within the sports programs?

Wow. Let me just say the person who created this thread is an idiot. If you knew Rhonda personally, you would know she cares about all the kids in the program and would help them in any way needed. Also, hey player? Please say some more of your bull crap about her still having keys in possession. Do you know that as a fact? No? Didn't think so. Also, yes I can understand her being at the practices and gym.. Her own DAUGHTER plays! You people need to get a life and get off her back, she has no relation to the program other than being an active supporting parent. She doesn't have any say in who is and is not on the team, and Coach Nunn and Coach Horton are NOT the type of people to let her opinion influence them. That's a fact. Come on y'all, get the facts straight. Enough is enough.

How pervasive is drug use in ALL of our society?

I read a couple of weeks back about a Dalton High football
player kicked off the team for selling pot at school.

The comment about persons on this blog "should be tested"
did not seem to have any connection to this "school thread".
