Recession clips state pay hikes
Gov. Mitch Daniels ordered several measures Thursday in response to a new revenue forecast showing Indiana must cut spending by $763 million the next six months to keep the current budget in balance.

As a State of Indiana employee I certainly don't like hearing there won't be any raise next year because historically we have been paid less than employees from most surrounding states doing similar work.
But I don't see a lay-off coming which is better than many others face right now. And my bosses in Indianapolis won't be getting a raise either which helps my view on them.
