Love it when idiots try to correct other people and still can't spell correctly!Kudos Tammy for correcting him!

Also to Boat for sale who stated:
It does not make sense to reward incompetence. Do not buy a car because of where it was made or who made it. Buy a car that will not fall apart in three years. Buy a car that is reliable, safe, and fuel-efficient. Buy a car from a manufacturer that will be in business in five years.

You live an America. Buy American.

See, here's the problem. People who don't work for the Union get pissy because they don't make the wages the Union people make. You think it'a s simple job that they do and are making all the cash for doing "nothing". That's your argument. Noone needs to do a "campaign" to prove why they deserve the rates/benefits. They are union and that's it. If you had the opportunity 30 years, 10 years whatever to join the union and work for GM and make the money they make...you wouldn't? If you say that's correct, I say you lie.
You are insulting people who are making a living for themselves and their family. You say they are thinking of noone but themselves. Well, I ask you, when you buy your foreign car who are you thinking of? Seems to me you are thinking of the cheapest car you can find that works for your family and therefore, you are not thinking of others. Your making money here in our country and giving it to another. I don't support that. Do I agree that basketball players and football players have multi-million dollar contracts? Are you kidding? Talk about something monkey's can do but you want to blast the hard working people saying they are overpaid.
Also, I'd love to see where you have the information of people working not working over-time but getting paid for it? If they are doing that I agree they should be fired but again, where is management when this is going on...oh that's right they are at their vacation homes, vacations. You can beleive that GM took a "loss" because of the strike, but I'm sure it won't hit their pocket books when it comes to shelling out their $100,000+ bonuses to the execs.
You don't have to support the union, you can keep buying foreign products but it's not the union employees running this country to the ground. It's people who are bitter about someone else having a better job and that DO NOT BUY AMERICAN.
No the owners (called stockholders) are the ones who get screwed. Many small business owners do make less now than they did in the past with a particular company so they diversify by starting up new ventures etc. They don't bitch and moan, they adapt and continue to increase cash flow by bringing more products and services to the economy which in turn gives people jobs and unfortunately it gives some parasites that feel entitlement jobs as well.

I buy hondas because I don't have to take them into the shop until it tells me to get the oil changed. Its not cheaper to buy the honda. The real irony is that my parents retired from GM and I used to use the discount until I got fed up with knowing all the people at the GM dealerships on a first name basis because I was in there frequently having repairs (not maintenance). I would love to buy american cars made by american people, but refuse to be loyal to many who only take pride in their paycheck and not the product they produce. If someone came and mowed 70 percent of your yard or cut it too low/high or uneven would you continue to have them mow your yard?

Funny both my husband and I have the same GM vehicles for the last for years and other than oil/changes and tire rotations we have not had one problem.
It disgusts me that you refer to union workers as parasites.
I'll agree that maybe the "new generation" of union workers take their job for granted and only care about their paychecks. Possibly some. The younger ones. But Union workers like my dad who have worked hard for 30 years (and by the way the job was not just handed to my father, he went to trade school to qualify for the job he does). There were many times growing up that I went to see my father on his lunch hour to see him pouring in sweat as he was wearing his coveralls in 100+ degree weather working hard. I've seen my dad sit in a hospital room all night with my mother who had Leukemia and then he would leave to drive the 45 minutes from the hospital EVERY DAY to be to work for his shift and not piss and moan and collect a paycheck for not doing a job. I've been to the funeral for a few of the men my father worked with since I was a toddler who died from Cancer from having worked with the Asbestos in the earlier part of their career. I go with my father each year to the Dr.'s as he gets x-rays of his chest to make sure he is not developing the same type of cancer (and btw, GM acknowledges use of the Abstesos that has cost many of them their lives which is why they have set up the fund for the x-rays and care). I buy American because I support my dad. My dad works for the Union. He is proud of his job and the job that he does. I at least can acknowledge that some union workers are over-paid and over-rated, however, I do not group ALL the union workers that way. So, please, don't use the word parasite to describe ALL union workers.
