Your point?

Gee, I notice that some people actually made less in 2010 than in 2009. Does that put a kink in your point?

no krulick even though they might have earned less some are still to high.

This is just for people to make up there own mind that's why left the link...

The village of Ellenville is paid more then the town..

If i work for the village krulick i only want 32,000 year. I as a person don't wish to profit in public service.. I consider it an honer to serve the people of Ellenville and the Town if i held office.

Trustees and the mayor are the only people in Ellenville holding elective OFFICE; it's about 2500 for trustees, 3400 for mayor, so your 32000 would be a ripoff! Town councilmen make 4X or more what trustees make, and trustees get no health insurance or other bennies, so you are wrong. Auerbach, though, ripped us off, because for years he was getting a full-time salary that kept going up each year, yet the moment he left, the mayor realized the same job could be done as a HALF-time position for ONE-THIRD the pay!

With that exception, pay is based on training, experience, certification, comparable pay in neighboring municipalities, and sometimes union bargaining. Some of it can't be negotiated outside of contract periods. I can also say that the village routinely lost good police officers, that WE paid to train and get experience, because after a year or two, they could make more money in other municipalities or with the state troopers. Also, people who work for cheap are often a poor investment; good workers are worth keeping and that often means meeting the prevailing wages and benefits.

Maybe YOU should run for trustee and see how difficult it is to balance the NEEDS of providing the services people want with keeping costs down, considering that many cost increases are OUT of local control, like insurance, or the price of road salt.

tough luck it's called public service.. you don't like it, quit like they did. The only thing to me that is important is the people krulick not money... Health care.. tough luck you did not see are founders complain about that....

I would serve the people not my self.. the problem today is people think more of money then the people.

Hell krulick i take 27,000 a year for the job with no health care for me. I be for the people unlike you..

Are founding of this country was based of farmers and other country men dying for this country which some could not read.. Just cause you have an education does not mean your right for the job.

Unions what a joke... They are not for the people. They were back in the day when company's had unsafe and abused workers.. Now they have lost touch with the worker..

Excuse me but you're way off base. I served two terms as a trustee and didn't ask for ONE PENNY reimbursement even though I had a right to, such as mileage, or tolls, or entrance fees for conferences, phone, mailings, etc. It IS called public service and I LIKED it and you could ask any number of persons down here if ANYONE was MORE of a selfless public servant than I, who put in the hours, did the work, spoke to the public, published what was going on in village matters, and SERVED the community without regard for my own personal gain. So get off your high horse if you don't know what you're talking about. People above money; that was my motto!
