I am overwhelmed with this news. My husband and I both have an immunity problem. My son is in the High school, My Grand-Daughter is in the Middle School, and my Grand-son is in the elementary School. We should have been informed about any Flu-like symptoms immediately. Are they going to close the School??

you guys can't just blame the school for letting the 8th grade kids go on the trip. most parents are aware of the "swine flu" issues around the country & world. if those parents were so concerned they wouldn't have signed the permission slip for that child to go . i also have a child in elementary school that may have been exposed at school, in her classroom by another student. nothing can be done until you start showing symptoms so we all need to calm down &have trust in the school & staff who we entrust to teach our kids every day of the school year
