Recently, like just before Thanksgiving. a fire occured in Ellenville. Tons of fire people came, the bad part is that there was no water in the fire hydrant. I was told that approximately 4 hydrants are not working. Can you imagine the damage and lives that are in danger. I am not a homeowner, but for example the water taxes go up and people pay for dry hydrants? I guess maybe they'll blame it on old pipe lines that are undergruond. I feel this problem should be corrected. Instead, the town is like getting refaced to bring people here. Doesn't anybody care?
If I invested myself as being a homeowner, worked my butt off to have a home etc. and tere was an accident for example a fire, I would be highly upset if my residence burned down, due to no water.
If you look around you will see some hydrants covered with plastic bags, that is an indication something is wrong. Anyway Happy Holidays.
