"Infested" is a rather harsh term, and rather hyperbolic, absent any evidence.

Two kids are found with an unspecified "quantity" of pot and crack, probably a small amount for personal use or to share with friends. What this has to do with drug DEALERS "infesting" Ellenville is specious.

Meanwhile, tens of millions of victims of a "victimless crime" have been MADE INTO criminals in this country, with a record, or even jailed and imprisoned, for engaging in an activity (in the case of pot, at least, less harmful than alchohol consumption, as there is no known case of death caused by it) only made "dangerous" by Draconian prohibition laws that have no constitutional support, which were based on false and hyped myths ginned up by publicity-seeking hacks out to make political hay last century.

But what does "getting them all" even mean, much less accomplish? There will always be those willing to take "their" place as long as there is a PROFIT to be made, in spite of the risks. Make soft drugs, or even hard drugs, LEGAL and you eliminate the profit motive! After all, there aren't gangs puryveying bootleg whiskey or beer anymore, as the legal stuff is readily available. Too much money is spent, and too much corruption is tempted, by criminalizing something the Constitution doesn't prohibit!

Anyway, I was under the impression that Ellenville already had a "street crime unit," that is, the Ellenville Police Department!
