Over 6 months ago I noticed that my vehicle had began overheating and was leaking antifreeze from what appeared to be the waterpump. Concerned I returned home and began to do research for the nearest mechanic within Ellensburg. I discovered that CV Autoworks was the closest shop from my house and contacted their shop to inform them that I would be taking my vehicle in. I arrived at CV Autoworks and dropped my truck of with a gentlemen named Jason who said he agreed with me that, that was most likely the problem and told me he would call me in the morning. He did not contact me until I finally contacted him some four days later to inquire about the progress of my vehicle. He stated that contrary to what I had believed that it was the intake manifold that was causing the problem. He gave me a quote and I approved. I waited a week for him to contact me to tell me that my vehicle was finished until I finally contacted him and he told me that it was finished. I went to pick up my vehicle and entered the shop and began discussing with the gentlemen, Jason, about the condition of my vehicle. I asked him if there was anything at all that I should be aware of that he noticed and he stated, that there was not. I informed him that I was leaving the next mourning to return home to Pierce County, a trip that is approximately 120 miles, and asked him if he thought that I would be alright, and he stated, that I would be fine. As I drove home to my apartment no more then a half mile my engine light came on. This was unusual because that had never happened since I have owned the vehicle. I immediately contacted the shop to inform them of the condition of my vehicle and he said not to worry about it, that the light was misleading regarding the condition of my vehicle. On his referral I attempted to drive the vehicle home to Pierce County and once I got off the I-90 highway 18 interchange the vehicle rolled to a stop and would not start. I had to have the vehicle towed to Auburn at my expense. I contacted Jason who was very defensive, stating that it was my fault, that I had driven the vehicle hot. This was ridiculous to me because, prior to my attendance at CWU it sat in my driveway for almost a year. Finally Jason stated that he was willing to tow it at his expense to repair what he and I agreed was most likely a blown head gasket. He did not contact me for almost a month later when he sent out to tow my vehicle to his shop. He held it there for about another additional month without contacting me about the progress. Finally, he contacted my father who at this point begun speaking on my behalf to tell me that it was ready. I arrived at his shop to pick up my vehicle. Jason stated that it was running "like new" and that he personally had been driving it for over two weeks to ensure that nothing was wrong with it. I payed him and left the shop. I drove around town for about twenty minutes and the vehicle died as I pulled out of a parking space. It started back up and the oil pressure gauge was fluctuating wildly. A problem that I also never had before. I returned to his shop and told him of the issue. He told me not to worry about it that it was a simple and cheap repair. He did not contact me for over two weeks until I finally contacted him. He told me that he did not know what to do because it was going to cost me more. At this point I had spent over $1200 for $415 each time I left his shop and the $226 towing fee and was not willing to spend much more for problems I truly believe arose out of his negligence. The conversation ended very inconclusively with me telling him to figure out a price that would work for both of us. Nearly a month passed and he never contacted me. I finally called him and he was irate towards me, telling me that he was tired of doing business with me and if I had a problem with him to come "Say it to his face." Nearly a month has passed since then and I have heard nothing from him and he still has my vehicle.
