The story states that: "Spicer and Brittingham spotted the car in the area of The Circle, the elder Spicer said. The officers tried to stop it, but Reeves, who was driving, sped away with Powell and Flores as passengers, police said.

The officers, with Brittingham behind the wheel and Spicer in the passenger seat, chased the car onto East Market Street, then North King Street, entering the Kimmeytown neighborhood.

Near King and Rosa streets, the police car rammed the Sebring to stop it, Bruce Spicer said."

It's easy to see what happened here. When Reeves sped away from Brittingham and Spicer, they got 'ticked off' and when they caught up with them they chose to ram the car.

Those 2 officers had the resources of the whole state (small as it is) behind them. They could have called in for back-up, road blocks, they could have had the strips laid down that blow out tires, and probably a whole litany of options. But did they choose any of this? No! Instead they chose to assault the occupants of that vehicle with a deadly weapon -- their police car.

Brittingham, the remaining officer, should be charged with attempted murder. When someone is running FROM you, deadly force is not warranted.

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Capricorn

The detail-oriented Moon in Virgo is extremely supportive and helpful, so it feels good to know that you can count on some support. You may know just where the help is coming from, but with communicative Mercury all over transformative Pluto in your sign, maybe you're being looked after by your very own guardian angel. Don't let this encourage you to take foolish risks or overstep the mark.
