How many people would be interested in starting a West Union / Doddridge County News Letter / Paper with real news in it.

I agree with that. But when you only have to go on what people bring you in and you never go out to go any stories it is going to be pretty boring. And you cater to a few people.

What is the name of the new restaurant in town , I seen it advertise in your paper and then I misplace my paper. The one that took over Snooks, Thank You

The name of the new place is" THE DOG HOUSE".It is owned by JR and Lynn Boyce. She has decorated it in local sporting teams(DCMS & DCHS).She is proud of our local talent and wants to showcase it.
The food is great and the atmosphere is even better. Really nice people.

A real newspaper sure would be nice. Heard in Shop n' Save today that Francis Owens, J.D. Law and Larry Law are all in jail for stealing guns from someone. It would be nice to see all the crime reports in a newspaper instead of hearing the gosspip. Ritchie Gazette should open a paper here.

Get your facts right.Larry Law is in jail for having the guns.this is why we don't have a newspaper,it would just be a gossip colum.You guys never get the hole story.So you just make up one.

all three are in jail.But look at the charges.Larry got 4 on him.James 1 and Francis is two m- 1 F.And you all wants a newpapers.You can't even read a jail report.

hey i'm back.I can't see why trash like Francis Owens is running the streets again.This county is so messed up.Out run the cops DWI and brecking and entering.Getting all kinds of things plus getting 7 guns.And now hes free.Something badly wrong in this`county.We need help poeple.

We need reporters to sit in on town and county departments and other organizations meetings and "report" what is going on and not just repeat the agendas. We want to interview and compile stories and investigate the goings on in Doddridge County. The on-line Doddridge News will also carry "happy news" just like the Herald because as we all know Doddridge can't be as corrupt or as comedic as it seems, right? Plus our FREE Classified Ads and Business Directory are hoped to increase commerce and the flow of cash between our residents.

If any Doddridge residents want to be a part of this endeavor email us at [e-mail] and offer your talent, wisdom and impartial but in-depth view of what you know and what you would like to help us and the residents of Doddridge know.

It can be done, but not in the Topix style found in these forums. News, be it good bad or ugly, needs to be dug up and processed both professionally and legally (and with an attorney on retainer)... and by someone with spellcheck on their PC!
