Live in Summersville and was curious to know if the Elkview LaCarreta has ever been in trouble for serving bad food, or illegal goings-on. The one here was closed for a week and now things have changed like the people that work there and the food. There's just been lots of rumors around here and was wondering if Elkview's was on the up and up!

The food is o.k. The service is above excellent. I'm not much on the food, but my husband just loves it. And you can't beat all the food you get......You get the bang for your buck!!!!!

I just found out why LaCarreta was closed for a week, it just came out in the county paper. They raided the place and their residences and arrested 9 illegal immigrants. So I guess it pretty much "wiped out" their cooks and servers. I guess as long as there are Mexican restaurants, this is what will happen. Good food though!!!
