Our governor is without a vision.
We have more to offer in Southern WV than just coal.
Yes we do

and we have more pride than to let outside individuals influence our economy - ON BOTH SIDES - I could understand if the mountain were a pristine wind producer but it is not so why not let the men work. The mountain is not even in a recommended area by the DOE to produce wind power. This information can be obtained on the DOE website if you care to look.

The fight is not with the coal miners and their employers but those individuals you keep electing in charleston who will not pass laws to limit the destruction.

Gee.....if these radical protesters would put their rallying to good use, they could help stop the exploiting of innocent children via internet.

Now, that's something to actually protest and rally against!!!

Check your priorities!!!

We cannot elect officials who will enforce the laws to limit the destruction of our mountains because Blankenship keeps buying the elections.

sounds like to me the protesters need to shake up the elected officals a little more and leave the coal industry alone for a while, start at the top not in the middle.

I think that it is ridiclous what people do and say and yes if u are on the grid and think that they should stop mining then get off of it because thats so contradicting yourself. An instead of b*itching about things that don't matter and things that we need how about you b*itch about something that will actually do some good to WV

Keep sending the beautiful mountains that made West by God Virgina, Wild and Wonderful to their grave. It is a beautiful state, unfortunatly slowly it is becoming not so beautiful. One mountain at a time. Amazing the destruction the coal companies have done since I left 20 years ago. So sad......

To hold up the mountain. The mountain that is home to more things than the universe that revovles around you head has in it.

It is extremely funny to read the unintelligent posts about saving the mountains and how we are destroying the mountains. Keep posting them though, it does provide me with some entertainment

BTW - They don't take the mountains off and put it in a valley fill. That is nothing but opposition talking points.

I'll try and remember how silly the mountain tops are when I go to the cemetery that holds several members of my family. The cemetery that floods because of the removal of a mountain top for coal. I really do not think it will be funny when I wade through the water to visit my family that is buried under the water every time it rains. Do you find that entertaining? I don't!

You are claiming that your family has a cemetary within the boundaries or a mine or that the mine increased runoff outside of its permit that is impacting the cemetary? Mine permits typically will relocate cemetaries within the boundaries of the permit. If the mine is increasing runoff that is flooding a cemetary then you need to report that to the WVDEP.

the point is they shouldnt have to consider moving a family cemetery. not to mention the disrespect that has already occurred. maybe you are just letting them know it can be done, not that they should??

Do you really think that the WVDEP cares. They are paid by the coal companies. Under the table of course. Get real. Relocate! Why? Because some people do not care about what they do and how it effects alot of others. Please! Do you think I am the only person this effects? The universe reveloving around your little brain is pretty empty.....Open your eyes and go look for yourself. It is pretty common sense what is happening....A blind man can see it....

So you would rather sit online here and whine about how a big ol mining company made your family cemetery, that you have to cross 5 hollers and climb up a trail that a billy goat cant climb, a mess but you won't go to the DEP and file a complaint? Sounds like you are the pea brain. Go smoke some more blunts and tell everyone how there is a big conspiracy between the WVDEP and the coal mines...under the table of course.

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Aquarius

It's so easy to deceive yourself in some way today, especially if you allow wishful thinking to get the upper hand. Don't ignore some unpalatable facts, Aquarius, or the situation will be compounded. Are you trying to keep on the right side of someone you admire or respect? Does this mean presenting a false or highly selective image of yourself? I hope not.
