Let's be realistic here about Armstrong. Yes, they have excellent service when you have a problem, however, the prices are NOT competitive.

This is a true monopoly and it is not fair that we do not have a choice in some area's in Cecil County.

I am very surprised that citizens are not complaining more about this issue.

The price for cable is ridicolus. The internet is a joke. You have to pay $40.00 for Zoom 500,(as they call it) and it is the slowest speed I have ever had. You have to pay $10.00 more to have an even faster one, but it is slow too. Now, please tell me how afordable $50.00 for internet is a month? They had dail up until a few years ago. And they charge so much money and do not even have the proper "updated" coverage!

The telephone service isn't any better in price. If you take cable, internet and phone, you pay way over $200/month. What is wrong with this picture??

There is a group coming around with petitions to have "A CHOICE" in many area's.

This is not the American way. We need a choice, not just Armstrong!!!!

We are furious when we moved here a year ago. Yes, Armstrong has good service, the prices suck!

We already contacted local and state officals about the fairness with this issue. My neighbor said it is against the law and they cannot do this. Is this true?

The internet sucks for speed and we pay the highest amount 50 bucks, BS

I just moved to Medina, Ohio. Armstrong Cable people say out our that they don't have to offer competitive pricing- they KNOW that they have a monopoly in certain areas. People right up the street have Time Warner, buy we cannot get any other service provider except Armstrong- This IS illegal in this country and is a matter I intend to take up with the Attorney General's office this week.

Morons, don't get cable or better yet get a sattelite or even better quit bitching and do something about it or even better don't pay for it, as in don't get it. The world sucks but its fair competition and not a monopoly, so get over it I mean really, it's always about the man keep us down. Geez life ain't fair so whatever

Get Verizon Mifi or a smartphone with hotspot. We can get 4G service at our home near Rising Sun. I have been waiting YEARS to get decent internet service from Armstrong, and if I didnt get wireless broadband via Verizon, I would wait YEARS longer to get it from Armstrong (I can work from home with a decent internet connection - vs driving to Wilmington every day!). If you are in a sparsely populated area (like we are) there is no money in providing fiber optic cable service, so Armstrong says "too bad" you need to get expensive ZOOM serivce.

Armstrong has legal monopoly that protects it from bigger competitors, in Rising Sun, "strongarm" is protected from almost all competitors. This goes way back to before Bell Telephone breakup when Bell was only game in town and this is how politicians thought they would protect what was once I believe "Farmers and Mechanics Telephone Co." This is where deregulation might help phone competition here but when speaking of deregulation of banks it has hurt consumers in a big way. You fair market people will disagree but corporations are getting away with everything from not paying taxes, to polluting the environment and rigging election to get more of the same from those who can't afford to live without. We don't have one single politician or judge who will ever stand up to them as long as they get political campaign money from corporations, China and the narcissistic rich.

Armstrong service sucks! I have had lousy picture quality since at least December, and have had at least 7 site visits, plus a new outside cable, and the problem is worse. They admit up front that the HD channels 103, 105, and 112 get poor signal, and "there is nothing we can do". Why the @#$% am I paying for it?

Damn again...My bill for cable (basic lineup) and internet with Armstrong is going to $112.40. Although, according to the notice I got in the mail, I qualify for a $5 bundling discount. Woo Hoo!

Armstrong has a monopoly in a lot of the small towns as well ,we need to complain to the attorney generals office and ask competitors to set up shop, lack of competition is allowing this business to grow into a giant leach

Bust the Monopoly? Verizon is more expensive. You rent the equipment that isn't included in the price of the Bundles. And when you break the remote that you get with the DVR that you rent!, you have to buy the replacement remote. If you don't bundle they increase the charges of the other packages because you don't bundle. I'm in Harford county. I have Verizon, available for xfinity, Armstrong, Dish, Hughes and they all screw you.

yes but none of those charge you after you hit a cap on your internet limit... YES a cap on your internet.

you watch more than 10 shows on netflix... you are now down 30 gig. you have your phone out ever day for a month thats another 30 gig. your play games on the internet... thats easily 200 gigs a month... oh snaps... your cap was 200 or 250... looks like you pay out the butt now for those extra gigs.

none of the other service providers do this... Armstrong is the only cable provider doing this.
