dont worry bout it

Detroit, MI

Yes they have great food and SOME great workers but half the girls there are nasty rude and gossip about sh*t they don't even know about. Plus tommy Hampton is a disguating old perv. Only reason he hasn't been in trouble is bc he got money to keep him out of it. He flirts and rubs on all the youngings and yes its the truth I've seen it myself and you can ask anyone who's worked there. Plus he's racist. Black people don't even have their application looked at bc if u are black they write it on the application when u turn it in. Why do black ppl not work there.....like ever work there? That's why. Tommy is a small minded as* that doesn't deserve what he has.

The food is truly gross. It is greasy and does not taste that good. Dairy Queen taste better than Hampton's and neither taste that good truthfully. People eat their because that is where their mom and dad ate. It is more about customs than decent tasting food. Plus, it is ridiculously expensive to eat there for the quality and amount of food you get.

the prices are pretty ridiculous, i'll give you that. but the food is great, and to say that DQ has better food is just silly. not to mention, i doubt you'll find spit in your dairy mart food. i have personally seen people that work at DQ spit in food and serve it to customers. nasty.

I don't know abut the spit, but I do know that they have dropped hamburger patties on the floor then picked them up, slapped them on the grill, cooked them, then served them. Also I have seen the workers drop cooking utensils on the floor and pick them up and use them. They never washed them off. It's all about what you grew up eating. Mom and dad took me there because their parents took them there, so I will take my kids there. It has to do with tradition and limited selection of places to more than good food. There truly is not a good and reasonable priced place to eat in Elkton.

i don't think it has anything to do with tradition. if people don't like the food, they won't eat there. my husband is from the west coast and the first time i took him to the dairy mart he loved it. every time we go through that area for anything he wants to stop and grab lunch.

I lived away from Todd co for ten years and every time I came home to visit I had to eat at the dairy mart. It may be pricey but food prices keep going up too. I can't cook at home as cheap asi used to and they have all those workers to pay. It is expensive though so we just eat there about twice a month.

As for mr Hampton. He has been very sick for quite a while now. He is having some pretty major surgery soon

Dairyqueen I'm sure isn't the most cleanplace around but if you want to know for sure how your food is prepared you have to make it at home yourself.

Tommy recently hired a mixed girl; however, she was raised white and is probably the "countriest" girl I know. The only reason there are no black people working there is becuase they automatically assume they will be ignored so they don't try. I gaurantee if someone tried and really wanted the job they could get hired, no matter what colpr they are. It's the 21st century, I thought we were over this racism bulls**t?

The soda shop does have a manager named Matt. He tries to be a buddy to the teenagers that work up there and get them to take smoke breaks with him right out front. He's not the leader or role model type. I think he is supposed to be a pretty good cook. He just needs to realize kids don't need a 40 year old friend.
