New prices on used guns......and you feel like youre in a used car lot. Was going to buy a shotgun there and the guy that does the jewelry in there just kept talking.......knew something was up. Left and checked other prices......and the so called wholesale price was $70 more than everywhere else. I buy a lot of guns too and that fella cost him a sale......and a lot of others. I can't stand salesmen......professional liars......or whatever you wanna call them.

I've been in there a bunch and bought one gun and he is a super nice guy. The owner and not the jewelry guy cause I haven't spoken with him. What scared you off was probably the customer service and someone being honest about guns. I know that is scary but some people do provide customer service these days. Try it again and who knows you may actually like the service. I had never met the owner until a few months ago and he has always dealt with me fair. Other pawn shops I have visited as soon as you walk in you feel like you are in prison being watched and it is a problem that they are having to deal with you just looking. I do not live in Todd co I only work here and it is one of the nicest pawn shops I've been in, not the largest but the nicest.

The guy that owns it is super nice...... He just suffers from guilt by association. Not gonna deal with the lying, fake laugh, loser mentality. Period. Also like I said the gun was too high. If you want someone to deal with then go to the pawn shop on main and park street in madisonville ( I think those are the streets) it's near the one way split down from the Wendy's and long johns on the left. Right at the corner. That guy will tell you straight up......." I paid 75 for it so give me 150 and we're good ". Even if it's a 300 dollar gun. He deals in volume and is not or trying to screw everybody that comes in. You both come away with a deal. Excellent place to do business and the more he sees you in there the better he treats you.

I have been in there several times and thought everything was priced reasonable. And Heath is a very friendly person. So whoever is posting this crap is someone who took crap or stolen stuff in and was denied a sale.

Never really used a pawn shop other than to buy movies or guns but like I said ( and you didn't understand ). The guy that owns the store is super nice and I have no problem with him in general. The other guy just gives me the willies. That being said. Mark your merchandise for what you want for it. I'm not going in there to bargain. I'm going to buy. Its not a negotiation process. If I look at a used 12 gauge for 329 and I can buy it new for that, then you have immediately lost a sale. I'm not going even approach him for less. I have already been insulted by the "jewness" of it ( no offense to Gods chosen). Give me deal so we can both come away happy. That is all. I'm sure the guy is a super fellow. He's just gonna have to make his living off someone else.

I take it when you go buy a car you just pay what they are asking too? Negotiation is part of most transactions unless your at Walmart or large chain store unless your stupid and just pay what everyone is asking.

Negotiation involves starting off at a reasonable price. The average Joe who doesnt know any better may think they are getting a deal, but I buy a lot of guns and I know their worth......high and low. When you start off at ridiculous then I am inclined to think that you are an idiot or you think I am......either way you're not getting my money. Pawnshops play on the lowest members of society anyway...... Like gold buying and check cashing stores. So hopefully he folds and goes away saving some of the folks in Elkton.

I've known the owner for about 20 or 25 years. He is one of the greatest, most honest people you will ever meet in life. I don't live in Elkton anymore but will do business with him anytime I'm in town.
