Mr. Parker, I couldn't agree with you more. Brilliant. You have to be related to the idiot O'Malley. Maybe you and the freeloading O'Malley family can contribute more to Federal Taxes.

Giving a tax rebate is all well and good except we the people were shocked to learn back in 2001 that we had to pay it back. No Thanks!

Tim your insight is welcome. Your commentary is empty of rhoteric whose purpose seems to highlight a political party's philosophical bent. This is especially commendable because the present mess can be laid at the feet of the so-called brilliant deciders whose choices are bring suffering and pain to many.

Wendy, I am a lower-income head of household family. I receive no government assistance be it Federal or State. I do not receive or qualify for food stamps, housing assistance, help with my utilities or any other type of welfare. I work 2 jobs and go to school. I support myself and 2 wonderful children. In the end my AGI is low enough that I do receive back all of the income tax I worked so hard to pay all year. So Wendy, Just once, can't there be a break for the single mom who works two jobs and goes to school hoping to better her situation yet whose situation isn't bad enough to warrant ANY assistance that is doled out to the lower-income individuals?
People always forget about us...too poor to live and too rich to qualify!

Why in the world would those who have not earned a dime receive the tax rebate when they already benefit from the Earned Income Credit (EIC). It does not make sense! The rich and the poor benefit from tax credits; however, the middle class (working class) never does. Somebody in Congress/Senate need to put their THINKING CAPS ON!

People who do not pay taxes and receive payout from welfare should not get tax rebates. However, our (Socialist Party) the Democratic Party think other wise.
