Just a heads up, even though animal dumping in rural areas of the county is quite common, and we have no animal shelter, it seems when someone takes strays, even though they have adequate food, water, shelter and medical attention you are under discretion, of several agencys in order to keep the animals that no one wanted. we have been told to put them up for adoption, most of these animals are fifteen years old and unadoptable. Millions of animals are put to sleep every year, and yet someone opens thier heart and thier home they are subject to harrassment. It seems to me like if everyone done a little, it wouldn't all fall on one person to fix a problem that accumulated from many. any ideas? does anyone know the laws for a licensed shelter?
