Please cite your sources for the statements you make regarding the authors of Dreams from My Fahter and the Audacity of Hope. Also cite sources for information on student loan and health care costs associated with Obama's plans. I would be very interested to read them.

I attended the veteran's tour in Clarksburg. The speakers (an admiral, an Army Major, and an Air Force Captain and other local veterans) were honest and sincere and spoke at length about McCain's deplorable record of voting against legislation for veteran's issues. If you care about veterans, you should try to attend one of these events. It is easy to see why the majority of veteranprefer Barack Obama to John McCain.

Our America is now having a very difficult time, with so many hardships. To make this turbulent time better will be an enormous challenge to whoever will be the next President and Vice President. It will surely need a lot of changes, planning and sacrifices. Earnestly, we need a very good leader to direct us out of this turmoil.

“I sense in him first-class temperament and first-class intellect………and the potential to be a good, perhaps even great leader”; the perception of a Republican endorsing Senator Obama. His calm, patient, intellectual, steady approaches to problem-solving and meeting the standards of an exceptional President are the observations of another Republican’s endorsement of Senator Obama. I have these insights of Senator Obama too. I also see him as being diplomatic and collected, yet firm and tough.

Senator Obama is respectable and very presidential. I found him focused, steady and dignified, rising ABOVE inappropriate attacks on his character. Steadfast, reliable, organized and genuinely caring, I believe and trust the Obama/Biden team will do an excellent job in meeting the challenges. I fully trust them to keep America great, especially for the future of my children and grandchildren……in these coming years.

I wouldn't trust Obama's judgment and plans for this country as far as I could throw a 1000 lb. bull by it's tail. Wait until the rich cut jobs (they're not about to allow increased taxes eat into their wealth) and Obama's health care system breaks this country. And whose to say we won't have to spend billions on another war while Obama is in office. A liberal socialist isolationist is not what this great country needs now or ever. Finally, real change at last. Funny, Joe the illegal plumber can't buy the biz anyway, making his measly amount every year. Might as well wish for a winning lottery ticket and how much in taxes he'd pay with it, too.

Back on the subject of the veteran's tour. It is worth noting that John mcCain has a 20% rating on veteran's legislation. He has voted against funding for many veteran's plans including the new GI bill. He also agreed with the Bush definition of torture after originally saying he was against it.

Governor Richardson got north Korea to stop its nuclear policy, for food-much cheaper in human lives and money than our war and subsequent monitoring and threats. Looking forward to his possibly taking over the Secretary of State position, and our getting a female gov to boot. Remember McCain taking credit for Richardson's diplomacy? Doesn't that basically state that he was better at foreign policy than Mccain was?
