What do you expect? These people see how the airlines rip us off and they are just following the example in front of them. I don't blame them, I blame the economy, which puts the blame on Bush. Go Obama.

Btw, all these travel agencies should have to post a bond before they are allowed to take people's money. This is becoming a common problem anymore.

That doesn't make sense! Because we have to pay $25 to check bags, a travel agent is "allowed" to swindle people out of their money? I get that her comissions have been basically eliminated from the airlines, but she still is making alot of commisions selling tours. She is greedy... period. Blaming Bush on this one is pathetic.

What do you expect from left wing idiots, It's a wonder they don't blame Katrina and Ike on Bush. These people want to elect super spook so they will come up with all sorts of drivel. Ignore it.

Yo Fred chill. The Katrina aftermath was the result of a poorly run administration by your homeboy "W". If he had done his job things could have gone a lot better for people from NO. Stop hiding behind an incompetent president.

It was FEMA that dropped the ball, not Bush.I guess you think super spook could have done better. Also the idiots that were told to get out of N.O. and didn't, deserved what they got. It's always easy to second guess somebody, if you're so smart, how come you're not president?

what about the mayor of New Orleans, doesn't he have a brain? He needs to take some responsiblity, the city that was built on levees, have an action plan, don't sit back and blame everyone else because you don't, etc....

BUT this is not about katrina, it's about people putting blame on everyone else but themselves. this lady stole from people, it's not about Bush. Take responsiblity for your own actions.

this economy is gonna turn us all into schemers soon. this woman should have been retired instead of be responsible for the complicated finances of a business. She should have hired an accountant to help her manage the flow of money if that was not her expertise. At 66, it's easy to get confused.

let's not be so hard on this woman--she is surely somebody's mother and grandmother. Imagine being 66 and not being able to retire. I would feel pretty scared and desperate myself. Let's not forget too, that this is just money. She is not a violent woman and no one got hurt. The travelers, at worst, would have lost a vacation. It is complicated owning a business and directing the flow of money. It's easy, if accounting is not an area in which you feel comfortable, to misunderstand what is yours and what is not. She will have to pay it back well into her golden years and that is certainly bad enough. jail and judgement will not help her or anyone.

If it is so complicated maybe she shouldn't have had her own business. I am sure if it was your vacation money you would not have the same sympathy to her. Why not send her a check to help her through her golden years. Yeah, I feel bad for her, but business is business, you can't use stupidity as an excuse not to be able to do your accounting correctly! COME ON!!!!!!!!
