There is a more authentic looking Santa at Little Bita Christmas at the Convocation Center this week end and the pictures are less expensive!

The Santa at Little Bita Christmas, is horrible! It was not lunch time, and they were announcing over the speakers that Santa would be going to lunch at 12 Noon, we were in line waiting to see Santa with my 2 1/2 year old and 15 minutes early they told us they were not seeing any more children my son as well as 3 others were heartbroken. They are to small to understand why Santa would not see them. This should have been handled differently. There should have been some one out in front of the area letting parents know that no one else was allowed in line at that time and Santa should have been farther back in the blue entrance. I know everyone wants a lunch break, but at the expense of breaking a childs heart?

I've never really understood what Santa is all about. I mean, I know Christmas is about him getting nailed to the cross and then coming back to life and all that stuff, but how that relates to department store Santas is something I could never figure out.

I don't know why this is called the bible belt.To much crap like this is talked about. What's really heart breaking is telling your child to believe in a myth like santa.Jesus is spinning in his grave right now over all this type crap.

Free advertising? Who do you think you're kidding? With the money that has been spent advertising Little Bita Christmas on TV, radio, and newspaper over the last 23 years that it's been held, the promoters could have bought out Santa's interest in the North Pole and then retired to the Carribean!

I'm sorry some children were disappointed that Santa wasn't present and accepting visitors after they waited in the never ending line, but I thought he was excellent, very patient and kind. My little boy left there totally convinced that he had met the 'real' Santa and that made the trip out there worthwhile. He later proclaimed that the one at the mall 'just one of Santa's helpers' because he didn't didn't look like the real Santa and he didn't say "Ho Ho Ho"

If you believe in Jesus and all that biblical stuff, then you would know it is IMPOSSIBLE for Jesus to be spinning in his grave if he truly rose on the 3rd day. That would mean that his grave is empty. And "SANTA" being a myth, there is some truth behind the "SANTA" spirit.

I think you are confused. During advent season, Christians celebrate the coming of Christ, which culminates in the birth of Christ celebrated on Christmas day.

His crucifiction is remembered on Good Friday, and His resurrection is celebrated on Easter Sunday, both of which occur in the spring during Holy Week.

Thanks Claude.

Incidentally, is it "crucifixion" or "crucifiction"? Or is a little of both?*grin*

It wasn't that he wasn't present, he was and the children could see him, and they were still turned away. There was only 4 children in line, it was not a never ending line.
I said so

Santa wasn't nailed to the Cross. God's Son, Jesus was.

Right! And he was buried, and three days later he came out of His tomb and saw his shadow and we had six more weeks of bad weather. And He survived those three days in that tomb by eating chocolate Easter bunnies.

Amen!

We seen Santa at the craft show, He was very nice, the photographer was very professional. The photo prices was very reasonable. Santa is about 85 years old and needed a break for lunch, but I didn't jump in line at 12 expecting my children to see santa. If your child's heart was broken, that was your own fault for jumping in line at 12!!!

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Taurus

Everything seems to be getting under your skin at the moment, but this is no excuse to lose your temper, and you know it. Better by far to be discreet and plough on steadily, without looking to the left or right. If you keep your feet on the ground and don't get discouraged, there are definitely fair winds that will blow you along. It's just a question of finding the right balance between confidence and commonsense.
