5 years in jail? are you fucking serious? they didnt even do anything worth jail time, they are kids, kids make mistakes, and so do adults. I think not gettin to walk in the graduation is punishment enough. So listen here you low life piece of shit, your probably just one of those no life losers who aint got nothing better to do so you try to get as much drama as you can on shit that is none of your concern. They didnt break in, they had a key, they didnt break anything, or steal anything. So what is there to give them jail time over? trying to have fun? i do agree some form of punishment should be taken to try and teach these kids a lesson. Something you need to know though, even if these kids do get felonys, it wont stop next years seniors from doing a prank, or the seniors after that. This is a tradition that will be carried on for as long as that school runs, and thats just the way it is.

From what I have been told the 10 were going to write stuff outside with sidewalk chalk and stay in the building overnight. The rain probably would have washed any writings off anyway. I don't think any drugs or alcohol were found in their possession either. None of these kids were mine nor related to me however I happen to know some of them and their parents. I feel bad for their parents because I'm sure if any of them had a clue this was going to be the outcome they would not have let them go to ERHS that night. These parents and their children are going to be deprived of graduation night and that is sad. True, they trespassed and many adults surely don't find humor in this but think back when you were their age and the highlight of HS was doing something you wasn't supposed to do. I'm sure many parents, educators, business people ect...have been guilty of throwing eggs on Halloween too! I think being charged with a felony is a bit much since there wasn't any visible vandalism. It seems a mountain has been made out of a mole hill and makes me wonder what all WYMT viewers must think about our youth. I've known alot of these kids since grade school and they have been from good families.

I do believe that these kids do deserve jail time or the ones who are old enough to serve jail time should serve, and the ones who arent should be punished to the full extent of the law to. School isnt a place for pranking, and it also isnt a place to break into for any reason they had no business there at night after school had ended anyhow. So yeah they might just be kids, and yeah kids make mistakes, but they should know the difference between making a mistake that can be over looked and than making one that cant be. The authorities the principal and the school system is just doing what they need to to set a standard for the next graduating class and ones to come. So i do agree that they should probably take caution with it because yeah you only go to highschool once, but there is no reason that if found guilty of the charges against them that they would get outta serving jail time.

I think it is stupid because last year prank was in the yearbook that I have and they made my child work at the school and clean it up and they was also told not to do anything I think they are camras so if anything was messed up or broken they could have done something press charges then and not now this has went to far...

THEY will probably get off with doing community service, the ones in charge at the courthouse, only care if there is an election going on.the real bad criminals don`t even get what they deserve.these kids do need punished, but lets not make them into criminals.LET THE JUSTICE BE SERVED ON THE REAL CRIMINALS THAT BREAK INTO PEOPLE`S HOMES,AND HOLD GUNS TO THEIR HEADS,AND GO IN ON ELDERLY AND BEAT THEM HALF YO DEATH.NO THEY WANT TO MAKE CRIMINALS OUT OF THESE KIDS BECAUSE SOME OF THEM MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE MONEY.THE PIKE COUNTY COURT SYSTEM; IS CROOKED PEOPLE.THESE KIDS I DON`T BELIEVE MEANT NO HARM,BUT SOMETHING BAD COULD HAVE HAPPENED.BECAUSE SOME ADULTS ARE CARELESS AND SOME DON`T CARE ABOUT THE KIDS.MAY ALL THIS BE TAKEN CARE OF THE RIGHT WAY.

so today is graduation, and how many of them cant walk out with their class? how many years did they come up thru school and go thru all the ups and downs with these classmates?
good times and bad, but graduation shouldnt be taken away from them...
i just wonder if the men who made the decision to do this felt their tiny tiny penis's move just a little when they did...
makes them feel real big and mighty to take away a milestone in someones life over some petty little prank...

OMG, you are not going to believe what I heard at ERHS graduation last night. Some of the students who got caught the other night are going to turn 3 more students in that were with them and ran toward the baseball field and hit the hills. The question is "Who is Trey Lawson, Kaitlyn Cox and Olivia Cure?" Oops, guess the cat is out of the bag. Oh well, the answer is....the other 3 who ran.

I was at graduation last night and I just want to thank Kevin Justice and Roger Wagner for ruining the whole graduation for every student there...it is stupid that it has ever went this far anyway....they took something from these kids that they will never get back...where are the adults in this situation, they are acting like a bunch of kids themselves!!!!

go after the authority figures ,who are suppose to be setting an example for our kids.brenda collins has worked there longenough to know better and what the heck is she doing with a key,she is just now getting caught in her meaness, she has been that way all her life.go for it then backs down when it gets dirty, fire all them that had anything to do with it,they should have talked to the kids if they knew they were going to be there, but to give them a key and ruin their life ,why start by not letting these kids paticipate in graduation ,brenda maybe they wont let yours graduate, because of your stupidity, after all yours will be graduating soon wonder if you would go along with it if it was your children.after all u dont raise them maybe your x husband could do a better job anyway, after all, your women friends have dumped u.lol

I agree 100% with you! Here's the deal, it was my understanding that if a student had more than 40 absences and if they missed the first day of graduation practice they would not walk however this was not enforced. I feel not allowing those students not walk deprived their families. Parents had sent out invitations to family and friends......it's a shame. As parents we look forward to graduation day for our children; it's sort of a pat on the back for getting out children out of bed for 13 years, making sure they are clean, at school on time, and homework assignments completed. If rules are going to be set then it should have applied to the other offenders as well. The teenagers that was at ERHS that night did not possess any drugs, alcohol, or weapons and if they knew what lied ahead they probably wouldn't have gone up there. I was at graduation last night and eight of them were in there caps and gowns and stood overhead on the balcony. They were polite, not booing or making a scene.....THEY SHOULD HAVE WALKED and yes we should have chanted for them to walk. I am praying for those kids and their families for strength and guidance. I feel like taking graduation away from them is like running a race and with a few yards to go then someone moves the finish line. That's how I feel.
