The work sessions were instituted by former one four year term Council member, Cathy Burke, during her one-year term as Council President. By having the meetings, which incidentally are open to the public, during the day, it limits by intent the possibility that any town residents will attend.

There is no reason that work session meetings could not be held at a more convenient time for residents, but it suits the Council to discuss issues in a less open environment, even the media seldom attends or if they do, they only report top line subjects. There is no legal
requirement that work sessions be held at all.

The political system in the Town, Indiana, and in the USA is of course party based, so the Council is a Democratic/Republican issue. If a Council member resigns, the political party of the person resigning appoints a person of that party to serve out the term. For example, at least one current member was originally appointed to the Council, and then ran for a full term as an incumbent.

Well when they hire Mike Long things will be much better. He will no doubt continue in the long line of men before him like Gary Ryman, Bobby Kerwood, and Ron Biller. Long sure does patrol the elementary school a lot if you know what I mean!

Slow down, wipe the spittle off your keyboard, and think a little. I’m sure you can muster a rational statement.

Would writer 34 (or anyone for that matter) be able to clarify the Loud and unnecessary noise section in section 95.77-(E)? Are commercial and manufacturing businesses allowed to create loud noise that does not reach the 85 decibels after 7:00pm? Does Bristol even have the proper device to check decibels?

They are if they contribute enough "charitable gifts" to the town/police department!
