Don't know WHAT Case's YOU work for but one person can not go out and get customers plates and try to remember every car description, Our store is too busy and one person just cant run outside every time they cant see a car because a truck pulls up in front of the window. I am often alone and have chased drive offs and put 2 people in jail for it. But its not MY fault when I need to pee and anther employee authorizes the pump then don't watch it and just because I am on register one and signed in on it "Its my fault" I think not! There is not enough time to wright every pump and description down and trying to remember is too much! I have 3000 and over worth of sells in an hour and I am the only one on register - its impossible! The other employee I refer too - is a kitchen person who's never been trained on register. You must be management!

I have stayed this long at Casey's because of the respect I did have for my manager. She was unjustly fired... She excepted a transfer employee and the girl didn't have proper ID to start work but begged to be let to work and she would bring it in the following day. Our manager let her then the girl never showed back up with proper ID and we never saw her again. So Our manager was fired. Casey's finally had a manager who cared about her job and her employee and this is what happens! Now I am looking for other work and so are 6 other employees who have been here for a long time. Too bad Casey's - YOUR missing out on a good one.

I am a manager at a caseys and i just had to have all of my employees sign papers saying they would not work off of the clock. Also we jusy fired 2 employees for sexual harrassment. As far as people working at other stores and not getting paid for it they have to fill out an off site payroll sheet if they do not they wont get paid and if their manager does not send it in they wont get paid. As far as breaks the federal government mandates that anyone that for every 4.5 hours that you work you are required a 15 minute break. All the employees at my store get breaks ac,cfording to federal law. It sounds like to me its not caseys its the managers in those stores
That's great if you are told about having to fill out paper work for working for another store! I did not get paid for the time "leaving my home to the other store and back home again but my manager finally filled out the proper paper work that the other store should have done and I got paid mileage from my home to the store and back again at least I am suppose to get mileage have not received it yet. The other store was completely uncooperative for a store needing help. Casey's I work for stresses NOT to work off the clock and threatens to write us up f we do, but its hard to turn customers needing help down. I have helped a customer after I have clocked out then adjusted my time afterwards. The problem is there is no place away from customers to take breaks and no time to take breaks. I am often working the register alone and a person in the kitchen who don't know how to run the register or old enough to run it. I have worked 10 hours straight without time to take a break or eat. Then there are the drive - offs. The pumps should all be pre paid so we can concentrate on customer service instead of chasing a runaway car. Casey's PLEASE READ and help your own employees be better! Bring our manager BACK she was the best thing to ever happen to Casey's. She CARED about YOU and US!

I say "CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT" then corporate MIGHT listen to us!!!!!!

Casey's you should have a break room and a place to sit down for a lest a 10 minute break, a place to put our own food. Pumps should all be prepaid and two employees at ALL times on the registers to help stock cooler and necessary restocking of cups etc. and cleaning. The job would be soooo much nicer and the store would not look a shambles from one person trying to run the whole show and getting burned out. Casey's wouldn't go through as many employees so it would save time , money and training in the long run. Your employees would be so much happier and your profits would soar because of customer satisfaction!! PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU AGREE!!! LETS TELL THEM (CORPORATE)!!!

I work at the mascoutah Illinois store (store number 2897). I've been there for 2 years. I have recently decided that I want to step down but our regional manager (Becky mahnke) says since my manager (Elaine fisher) is on vacation I cannot step down until she returns. I have the right to step down from the position at any time so why am I being fired for wanting to step down.

I have worked for Caseys Genral Store for 6 months. I started out as a second assistant manager. I think the job is a good job. The hours are long but if you work the entire time like you should do at a job it goes by fast. The customers are fun and the employees and my manager are fun. I work close to 50 hours a week sometimes. I do not complain about it. As far as breaks go you can take a break if you really need to. IF IT IS MORE THAN THIRTY MINUTES LONG YOU NEED TO CLOCK OUT. Read the employee handbook before you run your mouth. I like caseys a lot it has been good to me. Also btw I just got promoted to assistant manager. In only six months I got promoted to assistant manager. I will also in the future have my own store because I am a hard worker and do ym job correctly. Caseys is a business that rewards had work and disciplines slackers EXACTLY WHAT ALL COMPANIES SHOULD DO. For all you people complaining about Caseys Genral Store, I am glad you do not work for us anymore because you weren't a good worker while you were here.
I've got news for you, I work my butt off every day and have been passed up for a promotion that I should have had and have had my job threatened, for no apparent reason. I frequently have extra work to make up for the slackers, of which, there are many. I keep my mouth shut for the most part and always do what I'm asked. The manager has fired several decent workers and gave slackers extra chances. I questioned my pay one time and didn't pursue it further, yet, and wonder if this is the reason for the way I'm treated. It sounds like you have reaped the rewards as you should, but don't believe that this is consistent practice at Casey's stores.

Caseys is a backstabbing unfair company who just uses their good managers to get the things they need for their store and then let them go for no reason. Discrimination is against the law and in my case there are two employees who have been discriminated against. There is one area supervisor and the district supervisor who i am going to reveal members of the kkk who should not be a part of this community

I'm just wondering about other people on the donut shift.=)
Recently, after having been working the same hours for over a year, I was suddenly told that donut shift is not allowed to start until 4am, which is 1 hour before open time. I expressed my concern at not having everything done and ready for the customers in so short a time, but my manager told me that the "[Area Supervisor] said you should be able to do it in that time."
Before now, it was okay to come in any time, as long as it was reasonable. Some even came in as early as 1am.
My question for other "Donut People" would be what time are you allowed to come in? Or if anyone has any similar experiences?
I had this happen also, when I worked in a 24hr store. My shift ran 12AM to 9AM. Our old manager didn't care as long as they were done by 5AM. But the new supervisor and new manager both said I couldn't start my cake donuts until 4AM. If I made them before then they would be considered old. It made everything much harder, because at 4AM you have to start breakfast, take temps, tray up donuts, and you're also working on clean up.
