What is taking so long to come to a decision on this case? I thought the evidence was going to be reviewed and a final determination made.

Well, two things could have happened after the crime lab results came back.
-One is that the results would clearly show who shot JR, I mean Sam, and that person would be arrested and put in jail, unless it is Lance.
-The other thing is that the results would clearly show who shot JR, I mean Sam, and Koop would be so embarassed about it that he would do nothing in hopes of sweeping it under the rug where his new hair is stored.

As long as no one is charged, Koop does not have to share the crime lab results with anyone. Don't you think that Fat Bastard wine drinker would have charged her, or even named her as a potential suspect by now, if there was even a shred of evidence? Why is he hiding the results? Maybe he is trying to figure out a way to illegaly charge her with Assult with a Deadly Weapon for a third time so it could be dropped for a third time?

You would think with such a high profile case there would be more pressure on Koop to poop something out. Chief Miles already knows it's a load of crap what Koop is doing with Sam's suicide. I believe Chief Miles' remark to the Record Eagle was, "I'm not going there. It's all in Koop's hands now." Wouldn't it be in the Investigators hands? Arenít the people investigating the case the ones that tell Koop to prosecute or exonerate someone? Who is investigating Samís case?
$
Who does Charley Koop answer to? I mean, really, who is supervising Koopís actions if he answers to no one? No one has apposed him for 16 years in his elected position. How can you be elected by the people if no one runs against you in the election? He has total control of Sam's case and is abusing his death by doing nothing. And no is doing anything about it.
$
Psychotic people choose people to abuse that have had troubled lives so that when the abused person asks for help they are not believed or respected. They are silenced and ignored. There is a reason Avery had to escape to a different State for help, because the authorities are not doing their jobs. Everyone that has touched this case says it is the most complex case because of the corruption at the highest levels.
$
I believe Koop is using this case to help Miller destroy Millerís ex-wife so that Miller can gain full custody of Avery-Millerís daughter. Miller will get full custody of the daughter by default if Koop does NOTHING. There was plenty of finger pointing towards Avery-Miller BEFORE the results came in, now why all the tight lips?
$
That is because the crime lab results, and all the evidence collected before, show that Sam committed suicide. If Koop reveals that too soon, Miller will have to share custody like the court told him to 3 years ago.
$
Why won't Koop share the crime lab results when everything else points to suicide?

This is not entertaining it is disgusting and you are not Jesus. You are offending. I assume you believe you are one of Anne's friends. Keeping the pot stirred is not in the best interest of any of the victims of this case. You have a few screws loose and it reflects badly on the one you are trying to defend. Get off the computer and get a life!

"Keeping the pot stirred is not in the best interest of any of the victims of this case."-Disgusted.

Tell that to the little girl who's mother is being erased out of her life by corrupt people in power.

Who do you think are the victims?
What part of my statements do you find screwy other than the use of the name Jesus, Disgusted?
why do you even care?

Hey Art, you forgot to write in your Record Eagle article that the second time they searched the house was 6 MONTHS after Sam's death. They took boxes of old clothes that were sitting outside for Goodwill, an old matress from above the garage and trashed the entire house damaging many personal items that had nothing to do with the death. Avery-Miller wasn't even living in the house anymore. It also took 11 cop cars to get all the necessary people there to help trash the place. Oh yes, and they did the second search right before Avery-Miller's sentencing for a crime her husband committed. Remember that day Art? You got to write a slanted article about that too. No wonder Avery-Miller didn't give you a quote for this little article.

Why don't you contact Koop and ask him why he hasn't asked for Sam's sketchbook where his suicide note is? Why wasn't that included in the crime lab investigation?

It would be nice if the article was about Sam Avery. He was such a nice boy very eager to help. Sam received many patches in Eagle Scouts and he cared deeply for his friends and family. He was very troubled in his last few years of life, though. Watching his mother being bullied and feeling helpless to do anything about it.
Instead of publishing rumors about his mother, Art, find out more about Sam's step-father and how he was trying to eliminate Sam from Sam's half-sister's life by telling the little girl that Sam was not his brother. Sam adored his little sister. Sam was very hurt when his little sister told him what her father said about Sam. She was only 4 at the time.
Sam's mother is beautiful but shouldn't there be a picture of Sam Avery in the papers? I've never seen the papers publish a picture of Sam with these awful articles about his death. Why do the papers insist on focusing on the mother when she isn't even a suspect?

Obviously there's corruption in Antrim County, obviously there are no answers to this case, obviously there's enough revenge to go around, obviously Shae's father needs to quit using his daughter as a puppet and admit to his problems, obviously her mother needs to get counseling and own up to her mistakes, and obviously this case
needs to be filed away so people can move on.

Obviously Antrim County needs to quit allowing Shae's father to use her as a puppet/weapon. How does a mother reunite with a daughter that has been used for years to hurt the mother? Along with other sadness and losses, Sam could not stand Lances's bullying of his mother any longer.

Hey Art,
How come you didn't write an article about Carol Blue? She was the woman that called Sam's mother starting the day after Sam's death up until the day Sam's mother fled to the Safe House in Arazona which was 3 months after Sam's suicide? Carol would call her in the middle of the night and say nothing. Blue was convicted and went to jail for it but you failed every time you've written about Sam's mother to mention anything about Carol's harrasment conviction, or even that Sam's mother was being harrassed. If they think someone killed Sam, perhaps it was Carol? Has anyone qustioned Carol? It took Koop and his band of merry men 6 months before they questioned Sam's mother at all about his death. It's really a shame the Record Eagle helped Koop and Miles spread so many rumors that were fed to them by Lance and his merry klan.

Hey Lance,
When you print out these posts for your big binder, make sure you don't punch out my name when you put the little holes in the paper.

I can't believe there still isn't any conclusion to this case yet. It's a good thing they're not paying these investigators and the prosecutor by the hour! What is taking so long? Or, more likely, the article in the paper was just to get things stirred up again and to keep the shadow of guilt hovering over Ann. These people are not doing their jobs or else there would've been a public announcement. If they are going to keep the results under wraps now, that would be counter to how they've been handling this case up until now. Maybe they have proven that Sam's death was a suicide, but of course that isn't "news" or at least the results they were hoping to find.

Avery-Miller declined comment through her attorney's office. Deb Zerafa, wife and legal assistant to Avery-Miller's attorney, Richard Zerafa, accused Koop of unfairly targeting Avery-Miller.

"If he can find something in there to convict her, he will," Zerafa said.

Uh.....duh!.....Deb, news flash hon, if there is enough probable cause to issue a warrant (or for a grand jury to indict), then it is Koop's JOB to present the evidence to a jury and then THEY convict. Koop doesn't convict anyone. Perhaps, as your husbands "legal Assistant" you need a little more "legal training" and a lot less personal animosity.

It is very odd that some say this information has been known for quite some time. If there is enough evidence for a warrant for anyone's arrest, wouldn't this have happened already? It's almost like the article was put in the paper to stir the pot in hopes of getting the guilty party to do something stupid. Sam was cremated, so the medical examiner had to have made his/her determination back in November of 2007. It's too late for a second opinion.

Why would anyone ever want to have killed Sam? That's the part that is so hard to understand.
