Just being a visitor to Hanna, it seems to me that the local police just LAY for anyone going over the speed limit. And by "lay", I mean they purposely hide, day and night, and I know if you're going 3 or more miles over the posted limit, they will pull you over and you will get a ticket.

Just seems like they'd have better things to do than this, day in and day out. I can understand pulling someone over for 8+ more miles over the limit, but 2 or 3??

Coming from a community four times the size of Hanna, it seems, also, that Hanna employs, and keeps on duty during the same shifts, too many cops. A town the size of Hanna, anywhere else besides in WY, will employ 2 or 3 deputies, at the most,(excluding the chief of police).

When an elderly woman is pulled over and ticketed for going 5 miles over the posted limit,(the street in front of the the rec center), and a woman who has lived in Hanna for over 35 consecutive years and has NEVER had a ticket anywhere else, EVER.... a warning would be appropriate - a ticket is uncalled for/ridiculous.

The town board needs to use some common sense about how much money is spent for this - get rid of several cops, and then see to it they do more than hide behind buildings/in blind spots waiting to nap the next poor soul who, unintentionally, happen to be giving the car a little bit too much gas.

ive heard roumors of this and have talked to other law enforcement officers in the area.anyone who even got a warning ticket can call above.
seems no human can detect 2-5 mph over visually.there isnt a radar gun made in the last 20 years as point of fact that does not have a 5 to 12 mph verified ERROR RATE.
dont anyone plead guilty to any ticket .refer to the error rate.1 3 mph over is harrassment.running peoples lic plates then following them to arrest them is illegal.the state attorney will want to know how did they clear the warrant when the cars were in the driveway im told?rawlins p.d. may have a review of their computer terminal.this is outrageous.

the board needs to know there were 2 hanna p.d in a hanna p.d suv in rawlins on monday.i was behind them at city market while they bought food.we are paying for them to use our taxpayers gas to do their personal buisness?i blame the chief seems he has no control over his men.

Its a shame when residents cant even drive in their own town without fear.

i have been stopped for a hole lot more and was let go only with a written warning the man was very nice and concerned about the town he works in why don't you just leave them alone!!!

anyone who was stoped for trivial speed such as 1 to 5 mph over limit please call rawlins p.d. dispatch non emergency number and leave name and contact number.seems the dispatchers are responsible for things such as having the actual person PRESENT in the company of the officer requesting the info. for history and warrants.seems they werent and the dispatchers could loose their jobs.also anyone know if the ncic terminal in the hanna p.d. office is still working we need to get the info of things run off that one for the last 12 months before putting it in the complaint.things you learn from the feds!geez!

so according to you,if the police are seeking information about somebody then they must contact that person so that they are present. That is not how it works otherwise there would never be any undercover investigations and the bad guys would always know when to run. Quit feeding people wrong info because you are mad.

If you got stopped for speeding even a mile over the limit then the cops are completely justified in doing so and can give you a warning or a ticket at their discretion. Whenever i get stopped i act respectfull and adult like if you act shitty you will probably get a ticket. For the most part the cops are just doing what they are paid for.

i called the sheriffs office non emergency number.they will put you thru to the sheriff vm.loves to talk about this problem.says he is the highest law officer in the county.talked about "old baldy"didnt get it till now lol

talked to the sheriff today.he picked up in the office.he is reviewing stops and dispatch.call him and continue to express your concerns.claims it appears to be "hanna 5 and hanna 1"?????? are they call names for certain cars or ?
