Perfect. Let's change the grades of students that are concentrating on their after school activities more than LEARNING. Kudos to the school for actually reporting this and having it investigated.

Turns out she is the wife of the football coach. Unbelievable. Thank you for teaching our children what's important. Whatever it takes to play the game. WTF

She is an amazing person that made a bad decision. Her husband was not involved. Please get the facts straight before posting!

I have read the "facts". Please tell me what I got wrong?
The fact that she is the wife of the football coach?
The fact that she changed the grades of players that were ineligible to play?
The fact that the game of football was more important to her than the education of the players?

Please, if you want to defend her actions, do so, I'd love to hear it. Otherwise, don't post.

oh pleeeez...did I say she was a bad person? SHE CHANGED THE GRADES OF STUDENTS WHO'S NUMBER ONE REASON TO BE THERE IS TO GET AN EDUCATION NOT PLAY FOOTBALL. IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM WITH A TEACHER DOING THIS, YOU HAVE A PROBLEM TOO.

What fact did I get wrong? None. She may be an amazing person to you, that does not change the FACT that she did a terrible thing. As a teacher, she is and should be held to a high standard. Her actions are completely unacceptable.

No one is talking "shit" about her as you so intelligently put. This is a forum to discuss the article that was published regarding the charges and arrest of a schoolteacher, period. You can love her and support her as much as you can, since you obviously have a personal relationship with her. She will need it dealing with this complete error in judgement. If the charges are true, she should not teach in the future.

Authorities said Glashagel admitted she targeted students who were on the athletic ineligibility list.

Enough Said.

She should be fired. Now here's the problem , her "protect all" union will try to cover this as good as they can. Then she will get another job some where so her past will be swept under the rug.All this crooked crap FOR FOOTBALL ! How's that JEN.

Don't forget Grants very own teacher of sin who was stupid enough to get caught.
Kym Krocza got off with probation.
Do you really think she was just giving them pot and booze to mow the lawn ?
Had a man done that he would be in jail for a very long time.
But maybe not if its a male teacher.
Teachers live in a different world then the rest of us.
They are untouchable.
BTW that is a BULLSDOG t-shirt she was wearing for her mug shot.
What a total disgrace she is but typical at Grant.

First of all, I was not referring to your comment. I agree kudos to the district for reporting it. It is wrong to automatically assume because she is married to the footbal coach he was involved. That is NOT true. She did do a terrible thing, but we are human and we all make mistakes. Teachers ARE held to a higher standard, and should be. I just think her good charachter in the past, which is not just my opnion, should be taken into consideration.

What does this have to do with a teacher tampering with grades? I understand this issue with Ms Krocza was a terrible thing but it is a completely different charge and school. Ms Krocza has received her punishment. I also don't think the punishment would have been different if she were a man. Anyway, back to the subject at hand...Can't wait for more details to come out on this case. She has admitted to the police that she did tamper with the grades of football players and her husband is the coach. Unbelievable.....

Just curious who's comment you were referring to? No one has said anything about the husband being involved that I can see, only mentioned who he was...

The boys on our football team, just like all the other students who participate in activities and other sports at our Antioch Community High School stand on their own two feet when it comes to their grades. They sign contracts and are aware what their individual responsibilities are in order to participate in their chosen sport or activity. The coaches enforce consequences when the students grades are suffering and understand that those kids that don't measure up are benched or sit out till they bring those grades back up. This is high school where lessons are learned.

Sara Jowers is a Special Ed teacher and also worked with the National Honor Society. If this allegation is true, it seems she's a bit naive and stupid in thinking that changing grades could do anything positive to any of those students. Where is the integrity in such an act? She's violated everything she's gone to college and worked for in her own career.

If this is true, as a parent of students who have participated in ACHS sports, I am just appalled by such behavior. What an embarressment to the school, the students and the parents. Not to mention her own husband.

Antioch's got a great football team and we are very proud of their accomplishments especially since Coach Glashagel took over Varsity. Whatever the outcome of this, it's really a scandal that hopefully it will not overshadow the accomplishments of this year's team. Our boys did well all on their own and we are proud of them. Go Sequoits!

Seems that Sara has a tainted past:

http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20110102/n...

"Sara Marie Jowers, 26, of the 400 block of Cunat Boulevard, Richmond, was arrested around 1:40 p.m. Dec. 29 at Whole Foods, 750 N. Martingale Road, and charged with retail theft. Reports said she took merchandise valued at $254. Her court date is Jan. 28."

Anyone know what became of this allegation?

It appears Ms Jowers-Glashagel will do anything to get what she wants, including disregarding the law. She has no business shaping young minds!

I totally agree with Sequoit Mom.

By her actions, this *educator* has now caused a shadow of doubt to be cast over the town, the football program, and the students involved, who will now have to defend the grades they achieved.

Thanks for giving other towns a reason to throw crap at our schools and programs. Stupid bi!@%. I hope they make an example of you.
