What are your thoughts on the inflammatory statements made by your elected representative Joe Walsh with regards to Muslims?

Mr. Walsh has said many outrageous things in the past but these most recent ones take the cake! Does it worry you that Walsh is inciting hatred and fear between the Muslim community and the rest of society, especially in light of the horrendous slaughter carried out within the last week at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin? If you are concerned about this, as you well should be, then what do you intend doing at the polling station at election time?

If you are not concerned about it then whatever happened to everything the United States stands for regards inclusion and tolerance? Does that mean we no longer represent all those worthy things our founding fathers held dear and wrote about so eloquently?

A "radical strain of Islam" is indeed a continuing problem, just as it has been for a thousand years.

Some prefer to be like ostriches with their heads in sand. The fact is the radical elements of Islam have not altered their intent one iota since their secretive meetings and collaboration with Hitler. Have you not seen the mobs of Islamists chanting their death slogans for the West? Are you not aware their radical elements are hanging children in the streets?

Please point me to the street corner in the U.S. where I can see them hanging children or chanting their slogans......otherwise you are talking apples and oranges. Of course a radical element does exist - no denying that; but then so do we have radical elements within the 'Christian' community (Oklahoma City might be a good example and some of the 'radical Christian' elements also connect over to fascism, speaking of Hitler; in fact to many forms of so-called 'white supremacy.' Let us not be so blind that we only notice radicalism in some group other than our own and fail to acknowledge the many good people within groups that do not include our particular one. Otherwise what is this country all about anymore? We would have become a nation of zealots were it not for the fact that most Americans keep a logical head on their shoulders

Rep. Walsh by identifying a "radical strain of Islam" was saying they were unique and not representative of all Islam. Yet, Angela, you chose to attack him as if he was the problem and not those he identified. You claim he is being "outrageous" in stating the obvious about something you seem to want to sweep under a rug. There are billions of Muslims on Earth and a small percentage of them indeed hold to the radical ideas Walsh identifies. If 10% of the Muslims worldwide are radicals (there is good evidence to suggest that percentage is true), there would be enough radical Islamists to match every man, woman and child in America. We've seen what they do in Somalia and because of America's show of weakness in policing that horror, within ten months radical Islamists hacked a million people to death in Rwanda. Radical Islamists have training compounds within our national boundaries. The history of Islam internationally shows they have no qualm about a continued conspiracy to reestablish an Islamic caliphate with the intent to murder everyone not Muslim. Now, you can bury your head in the sand about that reality, but the hijackers attacking the World Trade centers appeared normal, peaceful and ever so happy to be here... until they activated. The same with the guys shooting random people from their car's trunk. The same for the Fort Hood psychologist murdering so many. It's the history of Islam for sixteen hundred years and has occasionally required vigilance to put them down, which is all Rep. Walsh is saying.
