[[[Mr. Romney was also all for the war in Vietnam but chose to do missionary work instead...in Paris! Well Mitty was just following family tradition I guess because George Romney never put on a uniform either! Don't you love the hypocrisy of the war mongers?]]]

Romney said he supported the troops, not the war. He did everything legally to avoid being drafted. I'm sure if my brother had the choice to do missionary work instead of going there and dying for nothing, he would do the same.

Now, what war did Obama fight in, since it's such an important issue?

Or how about the great Joe Biden: His strong advocacy helped bring about U.S. military assistance and intervention during the Bosnian War. He voted in favor of the Iraq War Resolution in 2002. Biden received five student draft deferments during this period, with the first coming in late 1963 and the last in early 1968, at the peak of the Vietnam War.

You've already said in other threads here that you supported the Vietnam War as well as the Iraq wars. Since you're such a war hawk (more a "chicken shit chicken hawk" you should have volunteered and put your life on the line when you became of age. We all knew that wasn't going to happen though!

As for Bush's special treatment the facts speak for themselves:

"Two weeks before he was to graduate from Yale, George Walker Bush stepped into the offices of the Texas Air National Guard at Ellington Field outside Houston and announced that he wanted to sign up for pilot training.

It was May 27, 1968, at the height of the Vietnam War. Bush was 12 days away from losing his student deferment from the draft at a time when Americans were dying in combat at the rate of 350 a week. The unit Bush wanted to join offered him the chance to fulfill his military commitment at a base in Texas. It was seen as an escape route from Vietnam by many men his age, and usually had a long waiting list.

Bush had scored only 25 percent on a "pilot aptitude" test, the lowest acceptable grade. But his father was then a congressman from Houston, and the commanders of the Texas Guard clearly had an appreciation of politics.

Bush was sworn in as an airman the same day he applied. His commander, Col. Walter B. "Buck" Staudt, was apparently so pleased to have a VIP's son in his unit that he later staged a special ceremony so he could have his picture taken administering the oath, instead of the captain who actually had sworn Bush in. Later, when Bush was commissioned a second lieutenant by another subordinate, Staudt again staged a special ceremony for the cameras, this time with Bush's father the congressman a supporter of the Vietnam War standing proudly in the background."

Daddy pulled some strings and his little boy got special treatment and avoided being put in danger even though both thought that Vietnam thingy was just peachy keen!

Wrong again Dumbo! Romney definitely supported the Vietnam war itself. He even engaged in a counter-protest against those who were protesting the war.

Of course missionary work (in Paris!) was much more appealing than risking his life in a war..even if he was all gung ho for the war and those coming home in body bags! Same with Bushy...so nice being close to home in Texas rather than in the rice paddies of Nam!

If Obama had supported a certain war during his draft age young years and avoided the draft by going to Paris (or anything else!) I would consider that a disgrace too!

Yeah the same number of deferments as Cheney. After those deferments ended Biden went for a selective service physical as required and was disqualified because of asthma which was a normal disqualification at the time (probably still is!). No evidence anybody pulled any strings for this disqualification. Meanwhile Dicky "Boom Boom" Cheney still had "other priorities" and used being a new father an excuse not to go fight those damned commies in Nam!

Biden received five student draft deferments during this period, with the first coming in late 1963 and the last in early 1968, at the peak of the Vietnam War. In April 1968, he was reclassified by the Selective Service System as not available for service due to having had asthma as a teenager. Biden was not a part of the anti-Vietnam War movement; he would later say that at the time he was preoccupied with marriage and law school, and that he "wore sports coats ... not tie-dyed" Biden ranked 506 out of 688 students in his graduating class. This was during the Vietnam War and Biden continued his five military education deferments lasting from 1963 to 1968, avoiding the draft by next going to law school at Syracuse University College of Law and eventually receiving his law degree in 1968.

Let's start with BIden

Biden is the biggest draft dodger in Politics.

Romney didn't use power or influence to avoid the draft, he used his missionary status. He is still a Mormon, so he didn't just use a fake status to avoid the draft either. Also, read his "pro-draft" sign before saying he was protesting in favor of the draft. According to the sign, he's suggesting the anti-draft movement "Speak Out" rather than sitting-in. He was protesting the form of anti-draft protest, not the protest itself. So when he continues to protest the draft later, it certainly isn't a change of heart.

HopeBamma learned everything he needed to know about the military by listening to his pastor, the Rev. Wright in those 20 years he spent sitting in the pews of Wright's church. Care to bet what sort of message Wright delivered about the military?

If you think I'm going to go through THOUSANDS of your off topic, vitriolic and ignorant posts on HUNDREDS of threads you are even dumber than I think you are...and that's pretty f***ing dumb. You said it (that you supported the Vietnam war) though just as you said that every man, woman and child in Afghanistan should be wiped out by the USA because the only good Muslim is a dead Muslim. Right here in THIS thread you predicted Obama was going to declare martial law and cancel the November election! LOL LOL LOL You also said in this thread that the percentage of doctors who are NOT going to vote for Obama must be "African American, Hispanic or Jews" which once again shows your blatant racism!

And you're the dumbest motherf***er on the face of the planet! Student deferments are completely legal and Biden went for his selective service physical as required when the deferments ended. Again there is no evidence he was given any special treatment on being disqualified for service due to a medical condition. He is also no evidence he was the chicken shit chicken hawk gung ho war Vietnam war proponents that Cheney and Romney were. Looking for special treatment? Get you head out of Rush Limbaugh's poop chute long enough to check out your cornhole buddy Bush!

Yeah FDR probably should have got right out of his wheel chair and joined the D-Day invasion! LOL

I'm not saying every President should service but I think if you display hawkish sentiments towards a particular war you should have the guts and balls to put on a uniform. A difficult concept for a chicken shit chicken hawk like you to understand I'm sure!
