Boucher is capable of thinking outside the box. He recognized our need for broadband to attract business to Southwest VA. he will continue to think outside the box to bring good paying jobs to the hard working people of the fighting 9th.

You Republicans do seem a bit, uh, preoccupied with anal sex.

What's up with that?

And why in the world would anybody want to get married in a cemetery?

I agree... the challenge is figuring out which one sucks less, assuming "sucking less" is a good thing by your standards, no offense to our gay friends in Johnson City.

Ain't even eligible to vote for himself in the upcoming election. Sad.

Democratic incumbent Rick Boucher says the issue isn't just geography. Because Griffith has never lived in the district, Boucher argues he doesn't have the same depth of knowledge about the region or its needs. "It isn't something you gain in a six month campaign. It isn't something that you gain in a two year residency," Boucher said in an interview. "It's something you gain through a lifetime of experience. I have that."

Independent candidate Jeremiah Heaton is also critical of Griffith, and says it takes "a degree of arrogance" to sit in the 6th and run in the 9th. "You're going to have two members of Congress living within a ten mile circle of one another while the whole balance of SW Virginia will be unrepresented," Heaton said. 6th District Congressman Bob Goodlatte lives in Roanoke.
Heaton has also filed a complaint with the U.S. Justice Department. He alleges Griffith has a conflict of interest because of a statement the House Majority Leader reportedly made saying he could guarantee his property will be part of the district next year. Griffith strongly denies any impropriety or conflict of interest and says everyone will have a say when state lawmakers re-draw the lines. With the district expanding to add more than 65- thousand people, Griffith says it's hard to imagine the 9th won't include his home.

obammy from Abingdon has Griffith whammy. At least Rick Boucher did not get married in a graveyard like the Griffith's did. Griffith is so infatuated With the dead revolutionary war General thai in his past time he dresses up like The late Andrew Lewis. When he is not channeling the dead general, he likes to go into caves looking for bats! Look it up morgangriffith, wedding

I think I'm successful, and I'm in SWVA. You're just jealous because you couldn't make it here and had to move to SC.

Boucher got us some roads and jobs.

What has Griffith done for us in the 16 years he's been in the state house, other than block electricity rate regulation, and overturn gun laws because of "procedural issues"? Seriously, what has he accomplished?

Looks like two people will not vote for Griffith in this election.

You will not vote because you do not live in the district.

Griffith will not vote because he does not live in the district.
