I think the only complaint I have is the sale items are not stocked in plenty. You usually have to get there the first couple of days to get sale items - other than that I think for a small town grocery store they do a pretty good job. It's nice to go and have carryout service - you don't get that in the city.

I think Sunmart does a decent job. The only complaint I have is that we have found bones in the hamburger before--it has been awhile since that. And they do not carry chocolate soy milk--and lately haven't even had Silk brand Vanilla.

Sun Mart has gotten much too expensive. Although their workers are polite, I don't shop there anymore...

I agree they are a bit expensive but with gas prices and all they are pretty comparable to driving out of town. I shop wal-mart often and even they have raised their prices. We have to buy Lactaid Milk for a family member and i think they have trouble getting it in (as with the soy stuff) because we have had to drive out of town to get it often. I think a lot of it has to do with being a small town store - unfortunately.

I also do quite a bit of shopping at Glenns and they are willing to order stuff in for you which is very nice. Everyone is always friendly and helpful!!

Auburn is very lucky to have TWO grocery stores. There are some towns our size that only have one. We should try to patronize both of them and NOT shop out of town. With the gas prices I am ure we don't save any money shopping out of town anyway.

It is nice to have two grocery stores in town. My Dad asked them about the Silk soymillk almost a year ago--they said they would no longer be ordering it.

I miss the old days when you could go into Midway Grocery during fireworks season and basically buy explosives that could potentially blow your hand off...I recall buying cherry bombs there when I was 12 for god's sake.....

Ge Thanks for supporting your Hometown. I hope you do not take advantage of any activities here or use any of the local services, police, fire department, city rec, schools, etc....or perhaps you go to Nebraska City for those kind of services also?

I have shopped at the Walmart in Nebraska City before and gotten moldy bread one time too many. That store is not worth traveling to. You might as well shop here. That store has very poor quality in meat, also. We brought home a package and the inside was all brown. I threw the crap away. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

I prefer walmart for some items but never buy hamburger of bread there. I have been going to Sunmart because of gas prices. I will NOT shop at Glenn's. Sunmart actually carries some items that Walmart does not.

Know way too much. I also happen to treat people to a better quality then they treat their empolyee's, and this is not just rumors. But feel free to shop there. I do think they are higher then SunMart but Sunmart is bigger.

Actually this really isn't MY hometown. I moved here from Lincoln so Auburn will never be my hometown because of all the bull that goes on here.

Isn't Auburn better than Lincoln in some respects? How about crime for instance?
