Evidently you know nothing about where Morrison is located. Many kids went/ still do go there that originally live in Stillwater, or moved away from Stillwater to a smaller school. I will give you that was a extremely impressive streak. The point I was trying top make is that 6/8 people on an 8 man team can average 20+ tackles a games unlike an 11 man team where only 1 maybe even 2 can. The level of competion is increasingly higher in 11 man, because there is more depth in the team meaning bigger stronger guys, or so I think and I have played both. Although that's the advantage to more populated schools. Playing 11 man compared to 8 man is incomparable because each game is a whole new animal. Kinda like 3v3 basketball and 5v5 basketball.

Same concept, but more versatility and challenges appear in the game.

So Morrison was only good because they're located next to Stillwater, got it. Explain Shattuck then.

And 6-8 players a game having 20+ tackles? So the football games have 120-160 plays per team per game?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say there has NEVER been an 8 man team with 8, or hell even 6, players that AVERAGE 20+ tackles in a game. I don't think you know football.

8 man is harder then 12 man from the defensive side. They have more ground to cover per person to keep the plays contained.
Have another beer and recount! LMAO

Shattuck plays or use to play Class C yea let me know what other competition is in that class. Obviously I was exagerrating. I was saying that in 8 man a person doesn't have to be the "best" player to have good stats. Stats in 8 man are way easier to achieve than they are in 11 man. Also I know that Morrison is like that because I myself personally use to teach there for many years. The arguement I am making is that allows them to have a bigger depth of players. There is no denying that they were/still are good. My arguement is take any so-so 11 man team put them as an 8 man team, and I bet they will adapt to the 8 man style of play easier than putting an 8 man team into 11 man. Also Shattuck is a very good team in it's class. Hell I bet Chunk off the Goonies can All State in Class C.

I still can't name an 11-man team that dropped to 8-man that won a state championship that year, can you?

The depth of players is always nice, but if that was the only major factor than Broken Arrow would have been running the table in 6A for the past couple decades.

Quoting my own post, but we might be able to see that this year with Woodland dropping down to class B. They were runner up in 2011 and champions in 2010.

I was surprised by this actually. Did you see Laverne beat Shattuck 60-12? I thought Laverne might win, but never like that. Shattuck shouldn't of run off their coach..

Meritt football is a joke. I moved there my freshman year, tried playing for awhile then realized how ridiculous it was and transferred out of that place. I mean just look at their football feild and it's seating. A little effort would go a long way.

Lol what is this kindergarten? I merely stated what I believe to be a fact. Apparently I am closer to the truth since you seem to be upset. But I would be careful about offering to shut someone up that you do not know. The reason I am certain I don't know you, because I don't know any of the players for Merritt, it's the coaches I base my opinion from. Oh that and the dumpy school as a whole.

Also Before you make a dumb comment defending that dumpy school, go re read your post. The way it was written it leads me to believe you are a senior or a recent graduate from Merritt. Since half the words are spelled correctly I would say you graduated.
