I was wondering what people think of the groomers around elk. and about how much they charge? I'm mostly just looking for someone to give my dog a bath and towel dry him (the towel drying is the only part he likes lol) And maybe do his nails too. Hes a large dog, who doesn't like baths or his nails cut but wont bite or anything.

I've heard great thing about headtatail dog groomers in sentinel for large dogs it's 35 (i think) for bath nails and dipped. I'll be using them tomorrow and can let you know what I think of them.

I'd advise against getting your dog flea dipped, those things are dangerous. they stopped doing it over at atwoods cuz peoples dogs were dying from it! The monthly applications like frontline and k9advantix are alot safer, and last longer. they also have some protection against mosquitoes (which cause heartworm)

The dips won't harm the dogs if they're done the right way. I've found a much less expensive alternative to any of the medicines you've mentioned. Simply add some garlic powder to your dog's daily food. The fleas, ticks, and mosquitos won't ever touch your dog again. A small shaker of garlic powder from a grocery store doesn't cost more than 2-3 dollars, and will last for months. No more than about a tablespoon per dog per day is needed.

Hmm I've never heard that. I might need to check into that but I usually only get my dogs dipped for ticks. To me it made my dogs coat so much softer. Every since I've got her dipped I've never had to brush her unless she was shedding.

i'd be very cautious about giving your dogs garlic on a regular basis, Theres alot of conflicting information about weather or not garlic is good for dogs, but as far as i know, garlic is a member of the onion family, and onions are toxic to dogs. Please be careful

I've been doing that for about 20 years and haven't made a dog sick yet. I live in the country and my dogs are out in deep grass and brush all the time and hardly ever get any fleas or ticks and the few they do get don't last long.
