He was playing chicken in the road with his friends and a High Plains truck came through and didn't see him. Rumor is the driver was texting but I don't believe that. I was told he's had surgery to repair a badly broken leg. He's only 10 and in my sons class. I quit letting my son around him because he would always talk about dying and it bothered my son. I feel bad for him though and and hope he gets better. I wouldn't wish that on anyone especially a child. I'm praying for him and his family. Praying for the truck driver too. My brother works with him and said he's a good guy and it's killing him that this happened.

Well he has not lost his leg yet they are still trying to save it. It was an accident driver didn't mean to hit him and he didn't mean to get run over. Stuff happens even if you are praying for him please don't post negative stuff about him I don't personally know the boy or the driver lets just say god weighs heavy on me to try to always do and say the right thing.

AMEN! Where were the kids parents while he was playing in the highway. From the time I was born until leaving home I lived 1 block off of U S Highway 66 which was a rather busy road back in the day. I crossed that highway several times a day from age 7 or 8 on to get to town and school and knew to watch for cars and not pause to play on the highway. I feel for the driver and the kid both, but the kid SHOULD NOT have been in that street!

Blame blame blame topix just gets people started being rude texting in cars is wrong yes but everyone I know is guilty of it and a kid being in the road really you think he was just standing there or maybe he to was walking across the street like you did when you were 7 or 8 and had a freak accident. Accidents happen that's why X-ray machines were invented and insurance and whatever else it takes to care for people and accidents.

God must not be weighing too heavy on you. If He was, you'd capitalize His name!!!

I don't think god is worried about grammar he is more about humanly actions ya know like mean and nice actions. It's ok that you wouldn't know that I will pray for you dear.

If you really respected God, you would capitalize His name. Of course if you don't respect the Lord, you won't make the effort.

You don't love and respect God enough to capitalize His name, or His word, the Bible!! Actions speak louder than words!! Talk is cheap. Anybody can say they love God.

Would a god that loves his children want them to talk down to each other. Just wandering because for someone who says they love and respect god so much "grammar fuzz" sure is being rude and demeaning over something as trivial as capitalization.

Actions there you said it and way to go grammar fuzz nuff said. Glad you agree that it is actions. Actions would include how you treat people on topix right. I'm done go soak in your own word.

The fact that even after it was pointed out to you, you absolutely refuse to capitalize God's name is disturbing. You tell people to read the Bible, you go read it, I bet His name is capitalized every time in there.

You are exactly right! It is disturbing. Anyone who REALLY knows and loves God will not have a problem showing some respect.

Matthew 19:
16 Another day, a man stopped Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?" 17 Jesus said, "Why do you question me about what's good? God is the One who is good. If you want to enter the life of God, just do what he tells you." 18 The man asked, "What in particular?" Jesus said, "Don't murder, don't commit adultery, don't steal, don't lie, 19 honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as you do yourself." 20 The young man said, "I've done all that. What's left?" 21 "If you want to give it all you've got," Jesus replied, "go sell your possessions; give everything to the poor. All your wealth will then be in heaven. Then come follow me." 22 That was the last thing the young man expected to hear. And so, crestfallen, he walked away. He was holding on tight to a lot of things, and he couldn't bear to let go. 23 As he watched him go, Jesus told his disciples, "Do you have any idea how difficult it is for the rich to enter God's kingdom? 24 Let me tell you, it's easier to gallop a camel through a needle's eye than for the rich to enter God's kingdom."
