High School - and whose truck matters not, how the situation is handled will say volumes about school leadership!

It doesn't matter who brought guns to school, if this is a true story ? You might want to look up "Realism" in the dictionary. If an individual brings guns on school grounds, it ABSOLUTELY matters who it was. Idiot

I thought that I heard on the radio that at least one of the guns was loaded and had a round IN the chamber!!! I was out in the middle of nowhere and my radio reception was crappy, but I thought they said there were some decapitated heads in the back of his pickup??? Surely not!! I must have heard that wrong.

They were deer heads. As far as any gun being loaded I do not know. I know alot of the kids around here hunt but they should be responible enough to not keep the guns in their truck after hunting.

I believe gun season is over anyways. So it would be poaching, not hunting.

Trust you? No. There were guns found on school property in a students truck. Our children go to that school and as parents we have the right to know how the school is taking care of it. They have to let us know what they have done and will continue to do to keep our children safe.

If its not an officer it doesn't matter who has the guns.

On Thursday afternoon, Becham County School District officials were notified by the Elk City Police Department that they had arrested one of our juvenile students. This student was not on school property when he was arrested.

We were further informed that this student had allegedly driven onto the high school campus earlier in the day with a gun in his vehicle. At no time on Thursday did this student enter a school building, nor is there any indication that he left his vehicle while on the school campus. Furthermore, there is no information that any threats were made to other students or any staff.

School district officials will take action to expel this student if it is determined that the allegations regarding possession of a gun on campus are true. The Becham County School District would like to thank the Elk City Police Department for their professionalism in dealing with this situation."
