That is not good at all !! We don"t need some old GEEZER like him around School, No telling what kind of TROUBLE he would have the School In !! I say get some one Younger and more insink with what the Schools Like, If the student body don't want him then why would the Parents! It would be about like our Administration to play favorites to him and give him the job. Sorta good to see Woody out of here, he wasn't doing much for the Pioneer Center. A lot of the things he had at the Pioneer Center was for OLD Folks, Guy Hylton would do the same i think.

OH come on folks. The man wants to work, he's paid his dues, have a heart and allow him to support himself and have a sense of self worth. You'd want the same if you ever found yourself in the same situation!

Keep yourself out of that situation and you will not have to worry about it. The man is a crook. He was a crook for years. He put himself in this position. We do not owe him anything.

He did a lot of wrong things, bit he also was an asset to Elk City. He has paid his dues. Wouldn't stepping down to a janitor's job be degrading enough.

I say it's over let it go, he's not trying to get money from the government, he's just trying to work.

We should not allow criminals to work at school, There is enough problems now, The inmates we have in town can not be around the school, When he is released Tuesday August 18th. He will have to wear a Ankle Monitering device. He is still an Inmate out on work release, Why is the School holding this position open for him, I thought a job was open to anyone who applys, How come the School is not taking applications ?? They must not be Equal Oppertunity Employers, It must be who you know NOT What you know.

If this is true, again, it is the good ole boy system. I also find it interesting that since he has been convicted, he is able to work around young people, when the very inmates he was hurting, are not able too. It is okay for Hylton to make a mistake and make a turn around, but not other inmates. Special privileges...I see it all. Hmmm, how much has Elk City really changed?

I'm behind you 100% in NOT HIRING him he is a criminal has been for years just finally got caught..Lots of people have paid their dues but CAN NOT GET JOBS and alot of theirs was state charges done years ago some more then 10 years ago some weren't even convicted of anything just one high up person in this town gave them a bad name not because they deserved it but just because that's how alot of the high up people are he is no better then the regular people he commited a crime and SHOULD NOT GET SPECIAL treatment he did more then hurt those inmates and even knew it was happening not only him but there are other people that are just as crooked as him and a blind eye is turned for them this is BS and needs to be put to a stop..He needs to be treated as if he was one of the other people that aren't allowed to have good jobs like that and I'm sure in all these years of ripping off ELK CITY CITIZENS they have enough money to live on!! no other person with a criminal background would be able to have a job like that and he is NO BETTER I've seen this man and our mayor make a woman cry when months after their child was killed by how they treated her and told her that her feelings of wanting to be able to do things for that child was helping getting through that hurt was her problem not theirs..He didn't even get what he deserved so I think that is good enough for him to have to know that HE IS A CRIMINAL AND SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE ONE just like any other man or woman..The mayor needs to be replaced too I can't believe the people re elected her anyway..GET ALL THE CROOKED PEOPLE OUT OF OUR CITY OFFICES AND ELK CITY COULD BE A WONDERFUL PLACE...Forget who they know and who their friends are that's for them and their best interest not the citizens of elk city..It was bad enough he got to stay in office when he shouldn't of any one else would have been let go immediately there was alot more cover up I think then the people really know..We need to think of Elk people not people like him and what our best interest is NOT THOSE KIND OF PEOPLE..He shouldn't even be out of prison he deserved alot longer then what he got and several other people I'm sure that also knew what was going on and helped him try to cover it up and what ever else dirty deeds they have done over the years..He's crooked keep him away from our children let him do a dirty job like he deserves..SICK OF HEARING HE PAID HIS DUES LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE PAID ALOT MORE DUES FOR ALOT LESS CRIME THEN HIM SO HE NEEDS TO BE TREATED THE SAME NO MATTER WHO HE IS OR WHO HE KNOW!!!!!!!!!!

Guy Hylton served time for a misdemeanor, not a felony.

Thanks for pointing that out, but I don't think some of these folks are able to see reason. They don't realize how quickly a "he said/ she said/ they said" can get anyone in trouble.

Since when is a janitor position such a "high up" good job? There has never been a line of people waiting for this job to open up. Stop & think about what you are saying. Comments by Not You are just nonsense.

the problem in western oklahoma starts with crooked law enforcement, to fix elk city we need to start with all new law enforcement in western oklahoma. i did some research, guess who owns and controls western oklahomas drug task force, elk city police dept., they have millons of dollars and guess where its spent, back to drug task force. they seize guns, drugs and cash from criminals, then have an auction and sell these illegal guns to dealers and put these weapons right back into the hands of criminals, sounds like a vicious circle where the money keeps rolling into drug task force...

The job is actually a managers position over the janitors and bus drivers and the pioneer center from what ive been told, and pays $50,000.00 a year starting....so its not too shabby of a job, but with all the rent money he gets from houses that was to be condemned that he bought and rents to city employees he will survive, or with the profiteering money that him and his partner Joe D Hall make together he should be fine...
