Interesting if you are going to get any testing done at Hardin Memorial Hospital and you have to take a ticket, take a seat and wait for you number to pop up, here's a hint. Tell them you don't have insurance and have to pay cash and they will take you next----NO WAITING! Saw it myself. After you get to the window, you can say you made a mistake and produce your insurance card. The system sucks. With insurance, you have to wait your turn. HMH appears to be money hungry and turn around time for copay for insurance just takes too long. SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!
interesting

why would you say something like that??? I was there. I saw it with my own eyes. The damned number on the wall even comes up with a different LETTER AND NUMBER from all the rest of us. The "payers" stood at the desk and finally the girl in the counter came out and told them they would be next since they were "paying". Now are you pretty sure it wasn't the case?????? There were still 5 medicare and insurance people waiting and had been for 30 minutes or more. It's people like you that tick me off when you try to cover up.

IMO you'll be mistaken.

If anything, the hospital will favor the insured patients over the uninsured.

The uninsured person probably won't end up paying them anyway. They'll send them bills, but they'll never get paid and it will go to collections.

The insurance companies will pay up with very little hassle compared to the poor people who cannot even insure themselves.

What probably happened was that the medical condition the uninsured person was complaining of was judged by the nurse as being a more serious condition which needed quicker treatment. That's what got them served quicker, not the fact they were allegedly going to pay cash for their treatment.

idiot! it was not a nurse to triage! i heard what i heard, i saw what i saw. what part of it do you people NOT understand????? They had the same paperwork in hand that I did. It was NOT the emergency room. It was the testing part at registration. Maybe you have to have been there to understand the procedure. take a f'n ticket, take a f'n seat. wait for the number to be called. they go in order. this one had a different letter and number from the rest of us and went directly from the sign in desk to be scheduled. what? you all work there and don't want it out what really happened?????

this is the dumbest thing i've ever heard. most people who don't have insurance NEVER pay their hospital bills so why would they hurry to serve someone that they'll never get a dime from?

what a waste of a college degree and time spend bragging about it. i had to sign a paper agreeing to forfeit my home if i didn't pay and have a downpayment that day. so you are wrong. its worthless sh*theads like you that make the rest of us have to pay for you. they do turn people down for testing, the sign you're talking about is for emergency purposes. i guess your college degree didn't do you any good reading that sign. speaking of signs-----HERES YOUR SIGN!!!
