Unlike the Glasgow moron who insists Wal-Mart is closing (because it is TOO busy! Ha!), I can provide direct, relevant links.

"The Elizabethtown Planning Commission granted conditional approval for a development plan for Western-themed LongHorn Steakhouse adjacent to Towne Mall.

The steakhouse will be at 1614 N. Dixie Ave., which is the site of a former Blockbuster video store.

The restaurant, once constructed, is projected to be 6,242 square feet, Elizabethtown Planning Director Ed Poppe said in an email."

And on that note.... I really wish they would build something that we don't already have. We have enough mediocre steak houses and restaurants. How about something a little more high end? Im tired of having to drive to Louisville for a good restaurant.

The Walmart across the road is closing late fall this year and the zoning plans are for a Red Robin and a Chili's to be built on site of the existing building.

Longhorn is more upscale than most of the other steak places in town. It will be a little more expensive, but they are good!

High-end would be a misstake in E-town, imho. E-town is all about value (cheap) restaurants.
