Just depends on where you choose to spend your time. Obviously, you are not making very good choices. Frankly, I cannot say that at all about my friends, neighbors, or acquaintances and lots of them. As you state, JUST SAYIN'

I'm pretty productive and active in the community. Just depressing to see the majority of the people in this town are clueless. I do know some great people here. I think it's a generational thing. The generation now is useless.

It's not just Etown but all aross America. It's too easy to live off the government. That's how Obama got elected because all the lazy deadbeats voted for him because Romney was going to cut out all the free money.

You are full of it. That isn't how the President got elected. It may be your excuse for his re-election, still in denial. This generation isn't entirely a loss, but what are is the fault of the parents, not the President. And BTW, Romneycare was going to cut more than that. Grow up and get a clue, then maybe you would be handy at something!!

I would guess you are in the "clueless in Etown" category.

Funny if you watch several of the news agencies on how Obama got elected they all say the same thing. Big cities where unemployment is high with all forms of government assistance voted for Obama. Wait till Obama finishes off this country with Obamacare. Now we have another gunbill going up and he vacationed in Hawaii at taxpayer expense when he should have been working on the fiscal cliff. I guess Camp David, which is owned by the government, was not good enough for him, so he places more debt by going to Hawaii. Well-you got what you wanted, enjoy it. BTW study up on Obamacare and you'll find numerous ammendments attatched to it taxing us even more.

boohoo, and Bush wasn't at his ranch instead of Camp David during his Wars, 9/11, etc...just like all past President's. He has a right to go to his HOME like they do. Give it a rest. Not all people voting for him are on welfare, foodstamps, unemployment etc...It really hurts you where you live. BTW, be sure and look up what those ammendments are and who pushed them, just like all the rest of the bills. Get over it. Get out and make yourself useful in spite of it handyman.

Bush never played a round of Golf while we were at war. He did travel too-didn't say he was an angel. Didn't say everyone who voted for him were on government assisatce most news channels reported that. Romney stated he would cut programs but not Medicade and Medicare. He did state he would make changes to streamline it but seniors would not lose any benefits. Romney is a businessman-Obama is well-just Obama. He has never worked in the private sector, and he doesn't know squat about making money. We are in debt more thanks to his past four years, so he can't blame Bush for that.I am retired military and Obama has already cut our prescriptions and changed some of our deductable expenses. bet he didn't change his. And what has he done since being re-elected? Nothing but threaten the senate and congress. Just because I disagree with you doesn't mean you have to take it personal. And I am useful, like I said retired miltary and have had my own company for over 10 years. See what assumptions get you!

If the president was going to his home why did he go to Hawaii, he should have went to the middle east or wherever he was born. Obama is nothng more than a fanatic who wants to bankrupt this country by creating a socialistic goverment and giving all the deabeats free housing, free medical care, free food. and a welfare check every month to buy televisions, jewlery and all the crap the moochers want to buy. I have no problem with helping those need the sick and the seniors and those who really need it, but 48 percent of people do not even pay income tax, that is crazy, he wants all the dead beats to love him and keep on sticking their non working lazy money grabbing hands out for a free ride, and I am tired of supporting their lazy butts, I have put 5 kids through college the last two are in their junior and senior years, I worked two jobs for twenty years I know this was my choice to work two jobs, and I am not asking for anything other than what I got out of it which was seeing my kids go to college, but I am tired of my taxes going to support every free program that he can dream up and continue to have to support all the lazy deadbeats out there with my taxes. Obama care will cost the companies millions and rates will sky rocket, but if you don't have a job who cares because you get your care for free, Obama care sucks and you must not have a job or you would know that companies have to pay over 60 dollars for every employee to cover pre exsisting conditions, every employee think about how much across the nation that is, raise taxes on the top 2 percent who own the companies that will cost jobs, raise taxes on small business owners I wonder how many layoffs will come because they can't afford to keep a full staff, this isn't crying these are facts. If their weren't so many deadbeats getting a handout from Obama he would never have gotten elected. That's a Fact

Excellent post... "show ME your friends and I'LL show you your future." If you know a person is smoking crack, or they are useless/clueless, you don't just get that information thru osmosis, you get it by spending time with them, or people like them.

Concentrate on keeping your side of the street clean and you'll be too tired to worry about anyone else but you. You being you, me being me, is a full time job.

I qualify for foodstamps and a medical card for my son. I don't take either. My income actually falls right into that category where I can qualify. The foodstamps wouldn't be much,$40 I think I was told. I buy our own med/dental insurance. I drive a junk car, I paid off my home when I "had" a good job, and grow a lot of our own food. I voted for Romney in November because I know there are a lot of people out there that don't need this stuff. The government just tells you qualify, so you take it. And then you are hooked, you find ways to stay on it. I don't want taxpayers paying my way. As long as Dems are in office, welfare will carry this nation.

You are to be commended you are a hard working caring person, the programs are there for people who need it and those that need help for medical reasons or temporary help to get back on their feet I am all for, but as you pointed so many abuse the system and take away from those that really need, again I applaud you for your work ethic and I wish you all the best.
ThankYou

I wouldn't want the government all up in my business anyway. Good for you. If more people had your attitude it would help a lot.You should be proud and you should be thanked for doing the right thing.
