Heritage Properties LLC is owned by the bank's holding company, First Financial Service Corp. It is used to move repo property off the bank's books. The significant amount of properties that this entity maintains is astounding compared to peers. This is a result of the bad lending decisions of Mr Hawkins, Mr Johnson and the Board of Directors. If investors took a closer look at this, they would be sick.
The stocks all time high was somewhere around 29.00 closing yesterday at 3.55. Take a look at what these directors and executives have lost in value.
Gail L. Schomp 244,735 =$6,228,506
J. Alton Rider 117,426
Walter D. Huddleston 108,386
B. Keith Johnson 94,665 =$2,409,224
J. Stephen Mouser 71,801
John L. Newcomb, Jr. 44,877
Gregory Schreacke 36,628 =$932,183
Robert M. Brown 33,286
Larry Hawkins 24,592 =$625,866
Astounding but they can't blame anyone but themselves for sitting back and watching it tank.
WOW! Where did those figures come from. Is that loss tax deductable?

Some of them are employees, employees have stock in the bank also. Keith Johnson is an employee and CEO.

True. But what I was replying to was the list of stock holders. They don't receive salaries as stock holders.

Most of the stock holders don't but most of the list is the big stock holders which are also employees at the bank, so they do receive their salaries and have their giant stock accounts, but no dividend checks have went out for over a year now.

The original poster was thinking that list was a list of employees. It is not a list of employees. It is a list of stock holders. Some of the stockholders are employees. FWIW, the top 3 are NOT employees.

I'm not sure what is taking so long but I can't fathom why nobody has yet to be fired over this catastrophe. This Board just like the management there are a joke. I'll go ahead and predict the following.

Keith Johnson - gracefully retires by end of May for health reasons (aka FIRED!)

Larry Hawkins (aka whiping boy)- fired by end of May!

Eric Brandenburg (aka brown-noser)- fired by end of May!

See ya!!!

If it happened at this one, it's happened at others, too. Look at the guy at PNC that ripped off people? Nothing done to him. Why should these guys be fired?

Definitely Mr Johnson and Mr Hawkins will be dismissed. They have taken a bank with a long history and essentially ruined it. The stock price is near an all-time low and the bank is on the verge of being shutdown. Not good things for these guys to put on their resumes and I sure hope they don't need a job in the future.

Larry Hawkins is a joke there now because everyone knows his future there is near over. Keith just walks around foolishly like he is lost. He should have turned the reins over when his health started to deteriorate because he sure didn't do a good job overseeing things.

Patience In the Know. That day is quickly approaching.

...hmmm. Wonder if those guys made any loans to "ANY" builder in the Lincoln Trail Area Developement District who happen to UTILIZE some LICENSED sub-standard septic system installers in the Rineyville area? perhaps from a particular subdivision in Rineyville? Could these builders who have taken out numerous loans from different banks, who owe the banks money, be in any trouble if they used a sub-standard septic installer throughout the LTADD. what do you think the banks are going to do to those potential home builders? What are the loan officers going to do or say?

Ask your board of trustee's member Al Rider about that. Imagine numerous builders borrowing 100's of thousands of $$ right now. Anyone know which builders utilized that same sub-standard septic system installers in a particular Rineyville subdivision who was allowed to install septic systems all over the LTADD because they held a license that "indicated" they understood regulations and got their sticker of "Approval."

hmmm.

....hmm. Don't worry, I am sure that First Fed. is not the only bank or loan officers to loan money to those home builders. Remember those builders were usuing them nearly every county in LTADD. Heck maybe First Fed. did not loan any money to "THOSE" home builders.

Wow...I saw him limping around with a cane at a restaurant the other day. How can he run a bank if he cant even get around without a cane? No wonder the bank is about to fold.

I have been with First Federal for 7 years, only after leaving Fort Knox Credit Union. I definitly prefer First Federal I have never had a problem there very friendly, I recently purchased my new car thru First Federal. It makes sense to me tha they might be struggling on the commercial side, I work in Louisville and they have signs everywhere saying promting that First Federal is funding. Out Bluegrass Industrial Park and Plantside Drive there are several new buildings by First Federal that are empty and have been empty since built. Im sure they can overcome this slump hopefully by making wiser desicions... (Plus they need to add more branches in Louisville.)

Chrisina, wiser decisions will be made when the ones making the bad decisions are finally dismissed. Mr. Johnson may not make it to the end of this week and I heard that they demoted Mr. Hawkins to another position. Only position that he may be capable of holding at that bank is the janitor, and I highly doubt that he is talented enough to even do that.

The shenanigans are about to come to an end for these two and others will likely follow. May be a good time to clean up that board as well and remove some of the incompentent leaders there.
