Return the item. You'll get a refund or replacement. There will be dozens/hundreds/thousands of items in a huge store that are defective. That's the same at any store. There's hundreds of thousands of items in the store and sometimes bugs get where they shouldn't.

You're an idiot if you post this nonsense about a store after one bad experience. Or maybe you work for kroger and just want to talk smack.

If you, who handed over your money for the item and wanted it for your kid, didn't pay enough attention to notice there was bugs until you got home, then how do you expect someone who was stacking up hundreds of boxes would have noticed?

I have to agree that this could happen at any store. It probably was infected wherever it was packaged at which wasn't Wal-Mart. Definately take it back.

Yes you can see them if you look real close.

I stand corrected.
Not many people here will admit when they are wrong.

Okay, here it is...the item may have been previously purchased, taken to someone's home where there were bedbugs, and the item was then returned. The item was then restocked.

The fact still remains that the person who bought the item didn't notice anything wrong until she got it home and looked closely at it. She has the most motivation to see anything wrong with the item - the item is for her child, the money is coming directly out of her pocket.

She didn't notice something wrong, but she expects some $8 an hour shelf stacker to notice?

Putting the blame on Walmart for this is just retarded. Walmart would have provided a refund or replacement straight away. I think Walmart would have replaced the item even if the woman had decided she didn't even want it after buying it. But a defective item would have certainly been replaced without question.
